Sometimes I feel like Halloween is a dying holiday as more and more cable channels sell out to the mainstream. At some point in recent history, Halloween switched from a kids holiday to more of an adult one. Kids are now out earlier and earlier every year trick or treating, mostly before dark, and probably because most of the adults in their neighborhoods leave to go get wasted. Since a majority of adults go out on Halloween I guess the networks don't feel the need to show a bunch of things targeted at them. As for the terrible choices that they do show. Why spend a bunch of money on the rights to a good film when Game 3 of the World Series is happening that same night and hardly anyone is gonna watch your movie anyway.

Not to mention that ABC Family showed the Burton Batman trilogy (ok, forever isnt a burton film but still,,), despite showing stuff like It and Misery in previous years. To be fair Halloween is a key plot point in Batman Forever...so I say it should be considered a Halloween movie. As should Batman Returns be considered a Christmas movie... And Die-Hard 2 should be a Christmas movie... And Crash should be a Christmas movie........I'll stop now Dont forget Brazil!

WGN showed Jason X last night. The one Friday the 13th they should happen to show, and it is arguably the worst of the lot. I always thought Part V was pretty bad. And people tell me how bad Jason Takes Manhattan is (although that's my favorite of the lot.)
