Rogue leaves Crossbones out cold. ---------------------------------- Up next the luck of the draw has not been kind ... tough choice time ... Batman - Many great heroes are born out of tragedy, and for no one is this more true than Bruce Wayne. He was the only child in a family commonly regarded as Gotham City's finest. But his innocence was torn away the night his parents were murdered before his eyes. From that fateful night, Bruce dedicated himself to becoming the ultimate detective. For years he traveled the world, training himself both mentally and physically. Upon his return to Gotham, he channeled his skills, his wealth, and his hatred of criminals into a new persona: Batman. Since then he has waged a constant war on the criminals who plague Gotham's streets. Though he does not possess any superhuman skills, Batman's fighting ability and tactical mind are almost without equal among the superhuman community. Despite the countless lives he has saved, Batman's obsession never ceases. It seems that Bruce Wayne has become nothing more than a mask worn by the man who has become Batman. More Info Herevs Thor - Many comic-book heroes are inspired by or named after figures from ancient mythology. Marvel’s mighty Thor is a little different, though. He is literally the Norse thunder god of the same name, at least most of the time. In the beginning, he was just an ordinary human surgeon named Donald Blake, or so he thought. Stumbling upon Thor’s magic hammer, Mjollnir, he awakened to his lost memories. He’d been placed in the body of a human by his father, the god Odin, as a way of teaching him a lesson in humility. Since then, he has spent much of his time on Earth, becoming a bedrock member of the Avengers and protecting humanity from countless threats. Thor has often had a rocky relationship with his father and the rest of the Norse pantheon. He and his brother, the trickster god Loki, are rivals at best and mortal enemies at worst, having clashed on numerous occasions. Thor’s brute strength and command of the weather have usually allowed him to win the day, although a clever foe can still sometimes put one over on him. More Info Here------------ Not a huge fan of Thor decent enough but I prefer a lot of the more minor Marvel Norse guys to the main man, Batman has my vote.

Batman, Superman, Spiderman and Wolverine are probably heaviliy the top 4 seeds going into this thing. They will most likely knock out most of our favorites.
This would be one of them for me.
Thor has my vote.

... wow. Color me shocked. Bye bats! (didn't he win this thing once?) He did indeed, in fact Batman has always got to the semi's at least. But there you go, early stages always a chance a big name will fall. So Thor smashes past the Batman, maybe he didn't have time to prepare ... lol --------------------------------- Next up .... Spawn - Al Simmons, a CIA agent, was killed by his own boss, Jason Wynn, after witnessing his boss' "indiscretions". Simmons was sent to hell, where in a desperate attempt to see his wife one last time, he made a deal with the demon Malebolgia, and unwittingly, to become a "Hellspawn", a General in Hell's Army. Al was sent back to earth with little to no memory of his past, a hideously scarred body and face, and supernatural powers. Being called the Spawn, Al leaned his mission in life, to lead the armies of hell in a war to destroy heaven and make Maelbolgia king of all. Spawn refused and has since had to fight enemies of heaven and hell, all the while trying to protect and get back to the women he loves, his wife Wanda. Spawn has tried to retain his own humanity while finding a way out of Malebolgia's control and battling a variety of enemies, both supernatural and criminal. More Info Herevs Mysterio (Quentin Beck) - Mysterio is Quentin Beck, a special effects wizard and stunt man. However, he came to see his career in special effects as a dead-end job, but realized that his expertise in illusions could make him an effective supervillain and in his first battle with Spider-Man attempted to frame the hero as a villain and claim the money and glory for vanquishing him. Mysterio is the Master of Illusions. Using a variety of movie studio effects, sets and other devices, Quentin Beck sought to achieve his villainous goals by altering the reality be it via technology or psychology. Typically an opponent of Spider-Man, he has also clashed with Daredevil. Mysterio, having failed to destroy Daredevil apparently committed suicide. He has recently returned to make a play for control of the gangs focusing on the Maggia, whilst still trying to defeat Spider-man. More info here on Beck as well as his two potential successors.------------------------------------- Anyone who knows me knows I'm a huge fan of Mysterio, so he always has my vote. Go gold fish bowl head! (Never liked Spawn anyway)
