The 1st one is the best one, but my favorite is the 3rd one cause I kinda identify with it.

I'll give my love to 2, but I generally love all three. The story between them is fantastic.

3 should be its own song, i think they just tacked the name on to try and make it something bigger than it was

I'm not a huge Metallica fan, but I've always enjoyed the first two, though I think I prefer the second.

I... thought this was going to be about the Western. I thought maybe this was a misplaced thread about the WWE's PPV.

I
I always thought that III didn't fit in with the series at all, it doesn't have the trends (ie, the intro) that the other two have.

I vote for the Clint Eastwood movie "Unforgiven."
Nothing against Metallica, they rock, no doubt, but they sure as hell ain't growling out a line to a kid that says "He had it comin'!"
*GROWL* "We ALL got it comin', kid."

Thank you. What about concept albums? Where, technically, each song is a sequel to the one before it? Also, I dig He Is Legend's "China White" series, and CKY's "Hellview" series. Sorry to vear away from the original topic.

I suppose I'm the only one who prefer's Creed's "Unforgiven"?
Hey, Stapp's douchebaggery and posturing aside, My Own Prison was one badass album.
Anyway... of the Metallica series, I actually like the 2nd one best, musically. Lyrically, 1st and 2nd are tied. But then, I only listened to III once.

Thank you. In the case of this song oh christ yeah. Devil Came Back was one of the worst let downs I have ever heard in a song and it was Johnny Cash as well!. The first song was all kinds of awesome the second one sucked pretty bad. In reply to the thread. I say Unforgiven 2. Unforgiven was not Metallicas best moment and no where near the top of the best Metallica songs. Unforgiven 2 was a lot better and fitted better on the Re Load album which was a bit more laid back than their previous (except for Load) albums. Also with a song like Unforgiven 2 (Fuel, Memory Remains, Devils Dance, Slither, Prince Charming and Attitude) a album in no way can 'suck' like a lot of critics and 'fans' say Re Load does. I would then say Unforgiven 3 then 1 comes in.
