Saw them in Atlanta back in Oct, here was the set list.
That Was Just Your Life The End Of The Line Ride The Lightning No Remorse One Broken, Beat And Scarred Cyanide Sad But True Welcome Home (Sanitarium) All Nightmare Long The Day That Never Comes Master Of Puppets Blackened Nothing Else Matters Enter Sandman Encore: Last Caress (Misfits cover) Hit The Lights Seek & Destroy
Never got to see ride the lightning, hit the lights, no remorse or blackened live, so was a treat, god thou was lamb of god awful, just awful. Funny thing that happened before Metallica came out was the crowd got impatient so we started to do the wave was amazing to see everyone doing together, everyone got out of their seats to do it.
Here is a video from the concert ride the lightning

What do people have against Load, Reload and St Anger? I like Reload and at least I like one song from Load, but to be honest St Anger bores me. It's weird, actually. These albums would probably be liked more if they weren't Metallica albums. But whenever you compare them to their older stuff...it just seems kinda off.

What do people have against Load, Reload and St Anger? I like all three, was just a diffrent direction musically and people couldn't except it, there thrash metal band became hard rock.

I always thought the fundamental song writing by Metallica had never changed. Stylistically? Dramatic change. But most or all of their songs have always been drawn out and the way they wrote their songs was always straightforward.
I think if someone's only a fan of Metallica up until like Justice, they're not a fan of Metallica but just of 80's metal.

I'm f***ing jealous of each and every one of you It's ok, it's been well over 3 years since I last saw Metallica. Guess the fact that they played the Master of Puppets album right through made up for it though Well it was four years before that show I went to since they where here. This was the first show of theres I went too. I never had the chance do to money and getting there before. Went they cameback last year I had money and nothing to stop me from getting there. Plus I live closer to the city helps too. I hope they comeback soon because after seeing that show, I see them again. St. Anger does get crapped on a lot but then again I think they kinda know it was bad. I mean look at the play list. Most of them don't have a song from it. At less Load and reload did get something from it. When you look at it Master of Puppets, The Black ablum, and Death magnetic are the ones that get the most love. Well also kill them all in a lot of shows.

We got Gojira (I think that's what it was) as the opening band here in Indy.
And yes, Sting's entrance music will be the final encore played every night.
Best part of the entire concert for me? Walking away with one of those GIANT black balls.
