Do any people stick out in your mind as being guys who can cut a promo and deserve an oscar for their performance, but couldn't wrestle a lick?
Or the other way around? Do any wrestlers just seem to impersonate a robot (if you know what I mean) whenever they're on the mic, but wrestle a 4 star match per night?
Obvious choice is Chris Beniot, but I really like his mic skills. He always strikes me as a man ready to fight, and very intense.

One big one is Roderick Strong. He can't talk to save his life, but puts on a show each time he wrestles. See also, Matt Sydal.
From WWE, Cena can talk ... wrestling not so much. Rey can wrestle, but he's never impressed me on the mic.

AJ Styles and Chris Sabin are pretty dreadful on the microphone, but are two of the best at what they do. I don't mind Benoit on the microphone, he's brief and to the point. I dislike him for other reasons.

Mick Foley. There, I said it. You're absolutely right. Perfect example.

Benoit shouldn't even touch the mic and he's God at wrestling.

To be honest, good wrestler/bad at promos applies to about 80% of good wrestlers.

Another with the Good wrestler/bad promo is Shelton Benjamin. Everytime it looks like he is improving, he pulls an "edulamaction" out of nowhere and ruins it.

That guy could go before his neck injury, and even after it he knew how to work to get the crowd solidly behind him. AJ Styles...he's gotten better. As Heel!AJ he's pretty much above decent on the stick. As face!AJ...it's comical to watch.

I generally say that if you can't pull a halfway decent heel promo in this day and age, you should never open your mouth.

bret hart, great wrestler, and not so great on the promos, which is why he wore the shades, got nervous and eyes would wander frantically during promos, so he got shades.

RVD doesn't set the world on fire in his promos, but he can put on an awesome match. I guess Sabu by default is also of the good wrestler/bad promo list. Lance Storm could fall into this category as well. I agree that JBL is in the good promo/bad wrestler category.
