I agree to this principle. I remember the 2008 Comic Con reunion of Mystery Science Theater 3000, and they explained pretty much why they only did one movie that's focus was intentional comedy ("Catalina Caper"), and they felt like they had a hard time doing it since a vast majority of responses would fall under the "That's not funny" category. Doing a comedy spoof of a comedy is more than redundant. Also, the appearance of the movie appears to put in zero effort with the material that they're making fun of. And the title is even less subtle than "Scream After I Know What You Did Last Friday the 13th", or whatever that movie was called. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have found the Fourth Horseman of the Movie Apocalypse. Which is weird, because I remember losing my s*** watching the Catalina Caper episode. There were points where I couldn't breathe from laughing so much. They said they had a hard time making quality riffs as the normal riff process (in other words, if Joe Sixpack tried to comment during the film) would simply complain about the jokes and humor attempted in the film. I do enjoy a lot of the riffs from that episode, but I'm glad they stuck to your bad Sci-Fi or Fantasy movie fare.

Even if the trailer and title was just a skit in a sketch comedy show, it would still be atrocious

Shit, they just cribbed jokes and dialogue directly from the movies they're 'parodying'.

Catalina Caper was poorly made enough to be a good parody. The movies this is making fun of are not.

s***, they just cribbed jokes and dialogue directly from the movies they're 'parodying'. Yep. Almost word for word, note for note. And the lowlight of it all HAD to be the "Anal McLovin" joke, or whatever metaphor for anal sex they threw in there. Where's that Naked Gun group facepalm GIF when I need it?

I have to say, 95% of that looked beyond terrible, but I did chuckle at the part where he's wearing the "Virgin" shirt. But that's it.

While not a Seltzer/Friedberg film, they are keeping with the tradition of casting former MADtv actors.

In Craig Moss's defense, no one looked on the back of the page to see the full title actually includes "...So He Was A Menace to South Central While Drinking His Juice In the Hood".

It's a good thing the Academy is now accepting ten nominations for "Best Picture this year.

It's hilarious how upset some of you guys get over this. I mean, did you not read the title of the movie? That alone should hint that it's meaningless.

My eyes are suing me for damages. Star witnesses: my ears. I honestly thought there wouldn't ever be a movie THAT bad. It can't be real. It just can't be. I refuse to believe that any studio would back this.

I'm going to man up and admit I DID laugh at AnalMcLovin. Quite frankly, its so obvious and juvenile that I couldn't resist, especially since they all seemed so proud of it in the scene. The whole thing looks bad, but that caught be off guard and was pretty entertaining.

I guess comedy really is subjective.
Side note, I think one could make a pretty interesting drinking game out to this.
One lame joke...take a shot
One out-of-place pop culture reference...take a shot
Male nudity...take a shot
Basically, bring plenty of alcohol and have poison control on speed dial.
