-According to backstage sources at WWE, newest acquisition Monty Brown may or may not make his long-awaited debut at Raw next week. The source, speaking on terms of anonimity, said that there was a possibility that Brown could be at the 3-hour show, or perhaps not. "He could end up being used, he could end up showing up and not being used, or he may still be waiting. Right now, it's up in the air." When asked what the chances were of whether Brown would be wrestling next week, the source said the chances were almost definitely "50/50".

Shouldnt there be at least a vignette or a promo before Monty debuts? No one is gonna care about some ex-football player that just debuts out of no where (which is a good deal of all pro wrestlers who have football experience)

I still demand Serengeti vignettes before the debut.
Dropping that character has broken my heart, if it's true.

So, he may or may not be on RAW next week. Well, I am glad that is cleared up and now we know what will or won't happened to Monty Brown next week.

This reminds me of the time I made a thread titled "Johnny Ace may or may not be fired soon" ;D
still it's good to know there's a chance he's one of the Battle Royal entrants

Im sure someone here must know. If EWR taught me anything, it's that people on a written contract get paid a salary, and people on an open contract get paid per match (see Hulk Hogan) Of course, that's a game and I could be completely wrong.

I wonder if I could make a bet with someone on the odds of this news item being true
I wouldn't be surprised to see some newer faces on Raw next week for the 30 man battle royal. They can't even place Coach in it since he is basically GM.

Actually debuting next week could be a good thing for Monty Brown. (Fantasy booking time...."If I wanted to get Monty Brown over") He debuts in the battle royal, and then dominates, throwing out a bunch of ham and eggers and at least 1 or 2 real names....leading to a feud....
Let's say he tosses Duggan, Eugene, Viscera, Both Highlanders, and, heck the whole Spirit Squad (Minus Kenny) and the Ric Flair (Flair will have to be on the verge of being eliminated 5 or 6 times prior...always just squeaking back in, then is bulled out by Brown.) Flair, Irate about being elimated tries to grab Brown, pokes him in the eye, and then from behind Edge pushes Monty out.
Now in 2007 JR can go on to say how dominant Brown was, and Flair can be irate about how this new Punk upstaged him, and Brown has his first feud with a big name who will lay down like a rug. Brown wins the feud, and at Royal Rumble again dominates, and is again eliminated from behind by Edge. Monty builds up a following and Edge starts insulting him, and the fans cheering him, pointing out who eliminated him TWICE. Now at Wrestlemania Edge vs Monty. If Monty is getting good reaction, and I wasnted to have him looking for the title within 2 years, he wins. If he ain't getting over and I (As booker) don't like his attitude, Edge buries him and Monty works out his contract beating Eugene but losing to the next up and coming star.
