bit.ly/7dWu2uFamous ouster of two Disney board administations (first in 1984 and then 20 years later with Eisner) and was a writer and producer for Disney for many years. Rest in Peace, Roy.

I'll always remember him from the prologues of the classic Disney movies in my collection.
Thank you, Roy.

Never met him, but as both a lifelong Disney fan and a former WDC employee, this is a tough blow in an already challenging year. Prayers go out to his family, his cousin Diane Disney Miller and to the people he worked with and loved. news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091216/ap_en_mo/us_obit_roy_disneyEDIT: OK, this is just plain creepy. Walt Disney was born December 5, 1901 and died 65 years and ten days later on December 15, 1966, 43 years ago yesterday. Walt's wife, Lillian, suffered a stroke on December 15, 1997, 31 years after Walt's death. She passed the next day, December 16, 1997, 12 years ago today. Guess it is a small world after all.

The man also was the driving force behind the making of Fantasia 2000, especially the epic Firebird Suite sequence.
A man who not only walked in his father and uncle's footsteps, but managed to take those footsteps even further, and build up the family legacy. Awful loss.

Sucks- his "old-head" mentality was a plus in a lot of ways for Disney. RIP.
