I didn't really like X-3, but I did like Kelsey Grammar as Beast.

Easily the best part of the flick.
It's not a good movie, and it's not a terrible movie, it's largely forgettable honestly. I saw it in theaters and didn't really like it, and then a few months ago rented the dvd to see if I was overly harsh on it; in my view I wasn't. I don't really have the bile and hatred some do for it, but I didn't enjoy it. Like I said, a flick that I feel is largely completely forgettable once you've seen it.
Kinda like I feel about the later Wolverine movie as well.

Kelsey Grammer was awesome as Beast, but aside from that... yeah...
They hyped up Angel like he was going to be a big part... and he did nothing of value. They killed off/wrote off several of the main characters unceremoniously for reasons I still can't figure out. They threw in many, many others without actually telling us who they were or giving us a reason to care.
And they focused too much on Wolverine, which is one thing I loved about the first two, how much Magneto chastises him for thinking he's the center of the universe.
I mean, as a mindless action flick, it's fine. But I definitely thought it lost something from the second movie, which actually handled it with a bit of subtlety that the third lacked.

As I've said many times before, I don't think the acting was bad, as there were plenty of fine actors in the flick (and I loved Ellen Page as Kitty, in addition to all the praise Grammer gets and deserves). They just had to work with a lackluster script and an insanely rushed production, and it didn't work out well. But I agree, I pretty well hated the movie when it first came out, I've mellowed out about it over time, but I still don't think its anywhere near a good movie.

Just wish that things wouldn't have been so rushed, and we would have gotten at least one scene showing the blossoming love/crush between Piotr and Kitty. I would have LOVED to have seen Page act out the famous scene where Kitty is standing there slack jawed as a shirtless Colossus rips a huge oak out of the ground, and she goes, "WOW!". That could have been a very cute moment between two of the more prominent younger X-Men. This SHOULD have been split into two movies....the end of the old class (Wolvie/Storm/Cyclops/Phoenix) and the beginning of the new one (Shadowcat, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Rogue, Iceman and Gambit). Leave the Phoenix saga out of it, since you don't have the time to do it right. The butchery of that is really what makes me hate the movie, and the ATROCIOUS insertion of Wolver-Cash-Cow in the spot of Cyclops is blasphemy of the highest order.

I thought they tried to do too much for one movie. Too many characters all fighting for screen time. Still though, I didn't really like any of the X-men movies aside from Wolverine, so what do I know?

As a superhero action flick I enjoyed the film ... Cool effects nice plot, fun stuff.
As an x-men film I really disliked the film ... Juggernaut was just horribly miscast and portrayed,. Cyclops got treated like a moron + killed and the X-men was basically some mutants and Wolverine.

The film lost me as soon as they butchered Scott Summers. Hell they made him in to a whiny, depressed, Jason Voorhees style victim for Phoenix (their rushed, half assed version) to murder.

Here we go again. I'm one of the few people who like this movie despite it's flaws. I'll just leave it at that. Let the hate begin. Me too. I like all of them in some way, but X2 is my favorite.

I liked Kelsey Grammar as Beast, but otherwise ... The only reason I picked up a copy is because I wanted the whole set. Every now and then it comes on and I'll watch it mostly out of boredom ...
But I blasted the movie on a page I used to post on right after seeing it. I don't nearly have the rage I used to have for it, but it's still not a great movie. But both X 3 and Spiderman 3 are better when drunk.

I liked this and Spider-Man 3. I didn't even know the Juggernaut line was from something online until after I saw the movie. I just thought it was a funny line.

I didn't like it, but then again I'm not really a fan of the series as a whole. Of the three the only one I'd call good is X2. I pretty much feel the exact same way about the Spider-Man movies, although as a whole I think I'd say that series is slightly better.

It was a big budget, loud, action packed, crazy effects Memorial Day weekend movie. However, as the successor to the other X-Men movies and to the franchise, it was a huge disappointment.
