Tomorrow my wife, our 12-week old daughter, and I are having a meeting with high-level officials at the hospital where our daughter was born back in September.
Backstory: Due to a number of difficulties upon arrival, our child needed to be airlifted to a nearby hospital that could heal her. However, the hospital did not allow my wife to get transferred - which we found out later was wrong.
I am so ready to hear their explanation for the crappy way in which my wife was treated. They disrespected her once; I'll be damned if they do it again.
Plus there were many inaccuracies in the delivering doctor's formal report of the labor/birth. So I was some rationale behind those too.
It's likely this will end up in nothing substantial happening. All we want is for transfer procedures to be reviewed and more training done among staff.
However, if I get the sense of them calling us liars, I will simply ask what do we have to gain from any of this?
