Trying to burn a DVD and it says I there is no DVD burner connected. I have one and have burned many DVDs, so does anybody know what I need to do to fix this problem?

hmm, you might have a problem with something in device manager. open it up and see if there's any yellow exclamation point next to dvd/cd rom drives

Also, this all happened after I put Norton Antivirus on my PC, do you think this might have done something to my computer?

If you're using XP, right-click My Computer, click Manage, and Device Manager is on the left under System Tools. If there's a yellow or red symbol by your DVD drive (or it doesn't even turn up), then there's a problem. Reinstall/update the driver, see if that helps. I suppose Norton might have messed with your access rights... that's all I can think of.

Ok it says
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
How do I uninstall and then reinstall without losing it. If I uninstall it does it stay on my computer?

I did not see that as an option

Ah, so that's what the problem is... same thing happened to me once. support.microsoft.com/kb/314060^ That worked fine for me. And you can uninstall devices, then Scan for hardware changes/Add New Hardware to install them again.
