I just realized that Caldwell has started his coaching career with 14 straight wins. That is just amazing for a rookie. It helps when you have a guy name Manning (Not Eli of course). True, but to be fair I see no way Indy as an organization doesn't follow up Dungy with someone just as capable, and Caldwell has shown that. Not even Dungy managed to start off with 14 wins. That said I don't see the Colts having a losing record with Manning at the helm, he's pretty much a 2nd head coach. What I am interested in seeing is what happens (if anything) once Tom Moore retires. He's been there with Manning since the beginning. If the Colts manage to get over the hump of San Diego (or if the Chargers get eliminated before they face off), the Colts are that much more likely to take the title.

I would not say that Indy's path to the Super Bowl is that much harder than the Saints. Minnesota is a tough team to beat when Favre imitates a game managing QB rather than the aging gunslinger that he is. On the rare occasion that the O-line holds up the Packers are quite good. The Cowboys *should* be good, but then again it is late in the season (which means that they now suck). There are two Cardinals teams, one which is Beast and one that is Belle. If Beast shows up, they can beat the Saints. I'm not saying N.O. is a shoe in to go to the big game, but if I'm looking at the NFC playoff teams and the AFC playoff teams, I'd much rather have to take the Saints' route to get there. Minnesota is a legit contender, so if the seedings play out that will be N.O's toughest test by far and it's a 50/50 game. Past that though, I don't see any game I'd give serious consideration to not pick them in. Philly is really good, but they're inconsistent with a questionable defense. Unless they get on a run like they did last year, I'm not sweating Arizona. Packer's O-Line will be their downfall (even though they've had a better year than I anticipated they would), and whichever other team from the East limps in, be it Dallas or the Giants, I suspect the Saints will have beaten both handily already by that time. The AFC though, that entire thing is wide open. From 2-6, you can see a team that could get to the end, and you can't really be shocked to see them there. The Chargers look like the second best team in the NFL right now. The Bengals are inconsistent, but have one of the best defenses around (this past week's meltdown not withstanding) and one of the most consistent running games. The Pats are the Pats, even when they're down they still have Brady and Moss and Welker. The Broncos have been great at times this year as well. The Dolphins can be lethal and the Ravens are going to be scary if they sneak in. Would it really surprise anyone to see the Dolphins beat the Bengals and/or the Ravens beat the Pats to open Wildcard weekend? It wouldn't me.

I don't know about everybody else, but with all that's gone down for them this year, I think Cincinnati is the sentimental favorite going into the playoffs. At least they are for me. I joke quite a bit about Ochocinco, but he was truly distraught today. Hopefully, they can use this to motivate them to a playoff run to the Super Bowl.

I think the Cardinals, not the Vikings are the bigger threat to the Saints. Yes, the Cardinals are coming off of a game where they were dominated by the Niners, but still with those offensive weapons that gives them the best shot. The Vikings have the better record, but I'll take the Cardinals with Fitz, Boldin, and Breaston catching the ball over the Vikings. I think the AFC boils down to the Colts and Chargers. You've got 1 undefeated team, and the other team might be playing the best football in the AFC right now. As of right now, if they don't meet in the AFC Championship Game, I'll be shocked.

Bills placed RG Kendall Simmons (shoulder) on season-ending injured reserve.

This week's Ravens-Bears game at M&T Bank Stadium has been moved from 1PM ET to 4:15ET due to expected heavy snowfall.

It helps when you have a guy name Manning (Not Eli of course). Is that supposed to be a slight? Eli Manning has had a .500 or winning season every season as a starting QB for the Giants.

The 49ers/Eagles game, like the Bears/Ravens game, has also been pushed back from 1 to 4 pm tomorrow due to the snow. Right now, it appears that Falcons/Jets will be seen by most of the country for Fox's early game, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

The NFLPA has apparently offered to cover any fines Chad Ochocinco receives for his tributes to Chris Henry tomorrow.

Quite excited about tonight's game. Going to be having a beer, playing Crono Trigger and hoping the Saints keep that 1# seed far, far away from Minnesota Favre.
Anyone else going to be watching either the biggest upset of the season or the biggest drubbing of the season tonight?

Good first drive by Dallas. Their running game looks useful tonight.
Ha! How bout them Cowboys. TD Miles Austin.

That 17 game streak of no opening drive TD for Dallas is over.

Austin in, and loud already.
Dallas is such a hard team to get a read on. They could win this game by 20, or not score again the rest of the day.

Remember last year when everyone was talking December slump for the Cowboys and they went out and surprised the Giants in a prime time game...
Then they lost consecutive games against Baltimore and Philadelphia.
This year I'm saying the same thing happens. Substitute New Orleans for New York and Washington for Baltimore.

Crayton with a good return. If Dallas gets another TD on this possession things could get very interesting.
