www.spike.com/video/cinemassacre-black/3307317(Violence warning) It's more of his take of slasher movies in general and whether or not this was the first one, but it's still a good watch. Still crazy to know that the director of one of the most beloved Christmas movies of all-time ( A Christmas Story) pretty much kick-started the slasher genre.

Well, no.
Psycho was.
And besides that, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre preceded Halloween as well, granted I consider it a "proto-slasher" when you compare it to post-Halloween slasher movies.

Great movie.
He forgot to mention that one of the major plot points of the movie was copied in the 1979 cult classic "When A Stranger Calls".
