They really do have a crappy set of WR. Austin is miles (heh heh) ahead of the others. Then Crayton, then Williams. I still don't know what to think about Hurd since he's never involved in the offense. Ogletree had the nice game against Philly which I thought might give him some opportunities in the future, but that hasn't happened. Barber just can't pound through in short yardage situations. Perhaps they should try not running right at the $100M defensive lineman. But how can you be a real man if you do not try to knock him back at least once? Winning is not the important thing here, you know? It's all about the pissing contest. I don't care. I just love watching bonehead calls. Kind of like how the Jets let Freeney get two sacks by not even trying to block him. Seriously, they did not place even a single person between one of the league's sack leaders and the QB. How do you do that, let alone twice? They are lucky that Sanchez still can play.

I LOVED Dierdorf's reaction to that second sack. Do they want to get Mark Sanchez killed?!?!?! Just hilarious how flabbergasted he was over the the free path Freeney had.

I can tell that Jim Zorn just wants the season to end so that he can go ahead and put his new house on the market. They were only down 17, but yet they did not even go for it on 4th down. Sure, they probably couldn't win anyways, but they did not even try.

Can't blame him, I bet working for Snyder f***ing sucks. We're talking Emperor's New Clothes level of delusion.
Yep, old fairy tale reference.
Ok, with the Madden thing, the Favre love makes sense.

Who's playing again? I know the Viking score LAST week was 7-6 now since they spent a good portion of this quarter talking about it.. I don't know. All I know is there's a blue team and a red team, and Brett Favre and Brad Childress are having marital issues. I'm wondering who'll get the kids from their hit show "Brett & Brad plus 8"?

"Cough Golden Tate Cough" "Cough Biased Opinion Cough" They seem to avoid taking WR high in the draft. The highest they've taken a WR since 2003 is the 4th round (Skyler Green, Isiah Stanback). Antonio Bryant was a 2nd round pick back in '02 and never panned out, although he had a couple good seasons in Cleveland and Tampa. They could use one more threat on offense, a big, dependable receiver with good hands. Basically everything we want Roy Williams to be.

NBC's Peter King reports that CBA negotiations between the NFL owners and players are going "poorly."
Some players that had been optimistic about an agreement reportedly now believe there will be a lockout in 2011. The tentative deadline for a new CBA to be constructed is March 2010

I don't see a lockout happening.

The NFL by and large is way too smart to let a lockout happen. They're not baseball.

So after Minnesota beats Chicago tomorrow night, Dallas and Philly will play in back-to-back weeks. Winner next Sunday wins the division and gets homefield the following week in the WC round.
And would you believe that Dallas has allowed the fewest points in the NFC, and the 3rd fewest overall in the NFL? I never would've imagined that at the start of the year.

Welp, wasn't the prettiest win ever, but it was a beatdown of the hated 'Skins and got em in the playoffs so I'm satisfied this week. Big one next week.

So which situation is more interesting to all of you guys, the AFC playoff situation or the NFC situation? In the AFC, the top 4 are set and their placement is pretty well set as well, but there are many teams still in the hunt for a berth. In the NFC, the teams are set but no one knows where anyone is playing.

Okay, so now: Denver wins, it'll be them and the Jets. Denver loses, it'll be the Jets and the Ravens. Like I said, we need a flowchart. *using Yahoo! Sports' playoff generator* If Denver loses to the Iggles, it'll be Jets and Ravens heading into the final week. In that final week, if either team loses, Steelers go in. If both teams lose, it is Denver and Pitt. If Denver beats the Iggles, it'll Denver and Jets in week 17. In week 17, if either team loses, the Ravens get in. If both lose, Ravens and Steelers. If both loose Houston goes in before Pitt. They have the Head to Head over the Steelers.
