You know what's crazy...I mentioned this a while back, but it still applies If Dallas wins their next two games, Arizona beats Green Bay at home, and the Vikings lose their last two games the Dallas Cowboys get a first round bye. Dallas would need Green Bay to win. If Dallas wins out, the Vikings lose out, and Green Bay wins, Dallas gets the #2 seed. If Dallas wins out, the Vikings out lose, and Zona wins, Zona gets the #2 seed. At least that's what Yahoo's Scenario Generator says. Carolina would beat all of them right now. ;D

So lets look at the playoff picture now.
Jets: Control their own fate and play a Cincy team that will probally rest their starters next week Ravens: Control their own fate and play Oakland......So yeah there in Broncos: Beat KC and Need either NYJ/BAL to lose and there in Steelers: Win and hope everybody else lose Texans: See above

You can't use this to look ahead to Week 17 and put together "What ifs". The Yahoo one lets you see seedings based on who wins specific games both this week and next.

Alright! All that's left is a 44-6 blowout against Dallas. can it be 44-7 Skins with 1 rushing TD for Marion Barber at least?

A few of their wins were games they were written on paper to be blown out in.

Don't get me wrong, I could care less if the Ravens or Raiders win, even outside of the Raiders beating the Eagles. I just think it's fairly save to assume the Ravens will stuff the run game and that'll be it for the Raiders.

Of course, the Vikings get to play Jay Cutler in prime time tomorrow night, so none of this will matter. Doesn't Green Bay win the division if they win next week and Minnesota loses 2?

If they finish with the same record, Vikings win due to having a better record with games within the division

They'd end up tied, and Minnesota would have the tiebreaker since they beat the Packers in both matchups.

So Minnesota has already won the North? Isn't Green Bay 11-4?

So Minnesota has already won the North? Isn't Green Bay 11-4? The Minnesota Favres have the NFC North locked. Green Bay has a killer record, but regardless, no matter how you look at it, the Favres have the head to head advantage, thanks to beating the Packers twice this year.

Nevermind, I'm an idiot.
So yeah, Green Bay needs to win next week, Minny loses out, and Dallas wins out.

I doubt any of that will happen, but I guess the thought of a Dallas bye is nice. Still, this is Dallas' chance tonight. If they have to rely on winning a week 17 match-up against Philly, they're screwed.

If they have to rely on winning a week 17 match-up against Philly, they're screwed. Nope. Remember, the only two teams in the playoff race for the last wildcard spot, realistically, is the Giants and Cowboys. Dallas is still in the playoffs even if they lose out. How? If the Giants lose or tie to the Favres. Basically, for the Cowboys to miss the playoffs, they need to lose out and the Giants win. Otherwise, the Cowboys get to break our hearts in the playoffs again!
