One of those songs looks familiar. I remember judging one of those songs. Here we go again. (And I really, really should have caught this one) According to the rules Cageking stated at the beginning, this person has to switch their choice. Unfortunately, this means that we have to re-judge this round yet again. Sorry for the delays, everyone.

I honestly didn't intend for this round to be such a headache. I really should have caught those two mistakes from the start. That being said, I re-checked everyone else's selections and there are no other conflicts. Once the person who picked that one song gets his choice in, we can move on. We are coming up on a three day weekend here in the States, so hopefully we can get everything done by tonight, the next round can go up tomorrow, and the deadline for the next round will be mid-week sometime. I will say this for the next round, it's very important to know which artists have been used already.

Okay, the conflicting song has been replaced and the list has been re-re-submitted to the judges.
Please, don't reveal or hint your choices yet.

If you have four of five judges, you could move it along if you hear nothing from your remaining judge soon. You're running the show, so my opinion doesn't mean anything; just a suggestion. We started with four judges and having a fifth judge is an added bonus. If the added bonus doesn't get votes in a timely manner, then with four as our beginning standard, it doesn't seem we've lost anything for the round. The thread's been open over a month and if certain people don't know to check the thread every other day by this point, then chances are it's never going to happen.

BTW, Here's the final list of entries for this round.

Darn you person who picked a repeat song. We had to wait an extra couple of days for judging.
(Maybe it slipped their minds or something, but man. We had songs in like 4 days ago for judging. The curse strikes once again!)

I mean, the fact that four replies happened in a matter of minutes shows how ready people are and anxious. It didn't "slip anyone's mind." It's a trend. But I love to see the picks and I love the discussion. It's getting me antsy, and I love it! Good luck, everyone! I hate to see anyone go.

Cageking hasn’t logged in since the before the last revision, so I’m going to proceed without him for this round. He should be back for the next round, so I’ll play it by ear. Let’s get ready for the results: To refresh everyone on the rules of this round: This was a team event. The team with the highest scoring point total for this round earns immunity from elimination. The team with the lowest point total for this round will have their individual score added to their cumulative score from the rounds previous. The person with the lowest cumulative score (this round + rounds previous) will be eliminated. Pegasuswarrior, as the Number 1 ranked player in the competition, you had the advantage of picking either “Hall of Famers” or “Rookies (songs from the past ten years)” as your team’s theme. You decided to take the risky route and choose the more recent songs. Did this decision pay off for you and your teammates? SsnakeBite, the No1 Frenchman, this means that your teammates were assigned “Hall of Famers” as your theme. As team captain, you had the advantage of choosing your teammates. You picked Number 2 ranked contestant Z-A Sandbaggin' Son of a b!% h and Number 4 ranked contestant Michael Hayden: Number Dos. This means that Pegasuswarrior was joined on his team by "Sudden Rush" Sawyer (#3) and Ravishing One (#5). Both sides had formidable teams, but which team’s selections ensure an easy passage into the Top Five? First, let’s reveal the selections for Team Rookie. Pegasuswarrior, you chose "Salute Your Solution" by The Raconteurs. An off-beat selection to be sure, but your standing in the competition afforded you the chance to take some risks. "Sudden Rush" Sawyer, you chose “Boston” by Augustanna. This is a very catchy and heartfelt tune, but was it able to stack up against some heavy-hitters on Team HOF? Ravishing One, you chose “Cry Me A River” by Justin Timberlake. How did the judges score this mega-hit from one of the most popular artists of today? Moving on to Team HOF: SsnakeBite, the No1 Frenchman, you chose “Hotel California” by The Eagles. A staple of classic rock radio and one of the most popular rock songs of all time. Michael Hayden: Number Dos, you chose “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire. Not an obvious choice when it comes to HOF’ers, but a worthy selection nevertheless. Z-A Sandbaggin' Son of a b!% h, you chose “Sunshine of Your Love” by Cream. Again, one of the greatest rock songs of all time. But did it score with the judges? The Team that wins immunity does so with a total score for this round of 26 (20, 10, -4). The team facing elimination does so with a total score for this round of -10 (9, -2, -17). The team that is guaranteed a spot in the Top Five is… {Spoiler}“Team HOF”. Congratualations! SsnakeBite, the No1 Frenchman (10), you chose your song and your teammates wisely. Michael Hayden: Number Dos (20) and Z-A Sandbaggin' Son of a b!% h (-4), your efforts were strong enough to earn you each a spot in the top five. Now, unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to a very strong player. This is a very sad elimination for me, but as we get to the finals, these eliminations only get harder. The person who has the lowest cumulative score after this round and who will therefore be leaving us is… {Spoiler}"Sudden Rush" Sawyer, unfortunately your song was the lowest scoring one of the competition with -17pts, which brought your cumulative total down to just 15pts. You’ve been an awesome player and I’ll miss your unique input into the competition. Congrats to the Top Five {Spoiler}SsnakeBite Michael Hayden: Number Dos Z-A Sandbaggin' Son of a b!% hPegasuswarrior Ravishing One Remember, points are cleared and scoring changes from this point on. No more playing it safe! Starting tomorrow, the bottom scoring contestant gets no second chances. Good luck, and I’ll leave you with a little clue of what to expect in the next round:

I'm sad to leave the competition. Popular and established songs are difficult to beat when you want to choose something... different.
I'm glad that Augustana's "Boston" was the last pick of mine in the competition. Even though I scored low on my last two picks, especially really low, on my last song, I do not regret them at all. (I only regret "Neverland Ranch" and "Just Another Day in Paradise" cause I could've picked better.) I thought "Free Fallin" and "Boston" were totally awesome, myself.
Here is my 'send off' swan song, for "Boston", which was my other choice, instead of "Free Fallin" last round. Acoustic Style.
Thank you and Good luck. Bye guys.

I don't mean to brag, but I think I actually got the top score this round. Further proof that "September " is awesome.
As for the next round, I have an idea on what song I want. It all depends on the details, but I feel confident heading in.
On a sadder note, I'm sad to see Sawyer go. She was a strong competitor thtoughout, and I'm gonna miss her song choices. "Freefallin' " in particular was a favorite of mine.

And who would rank Justin Timberlank above Boston. I would. Although, to be fair... {Spoiler} I ranked Justin Timberlake ahead of everybody.
Seriously. Earth, Wind & Fire - "September"You can't help but smile when you listen to this song. It's not just a funky groove, but the harmonies are so nice to listen to. Shame I have it next to last, though - this round is just too deep. The Eagles - "Hotel California"I'll be honest; the fact that my place of employment heavily (and I mean HEAVILY) promoted their last CD means that I'm a bit burned out on the Eagles, and that might have cost you the top spot. But really, you can't do much better than this classic. Cream - "Sunshine of Your Love"The official "let's get so high that colors start melting" song is good, but the round is just so damn loaded that I can't put you in the Top 3. Justin Timberlake - "Cry Me A River"Mista JT, now whatcha got for me? He got a lot of crap, but this man can make some of the best pop music in recent memory, and this song is no exception. Yes, I put it ahead of Earth, Wind & Fire. Sue me. The Raconteurs - "Salute Your Solution"When it comes to the White Stripes and the Raconteurs, I usually prefer the former's songs, but the latter's sound. This song is an exception. This song just kicks so much a-double-crooked-letter, it's not even funny. Especially when they get into the bass breakdown... awesome work. Augustana - "Boston"Anyone else surprised that this hasn't become a TV theme song yet? It's a nice, pretty song. But this is just a case of way too much competition to overcome. Top 3 --- {Spoiler}1) Cry Me A River. That is not a typo. 2) Hotel California 3) Salute Your Solution Bottom 3 --- {Spoiler}Low) Sunshine of Your Love Lower) September Lowest) Boston

I don't mean to brag, but I think I actually got the top score this round. Further proof that "September " is awesome. *Strikes hayden with a steel chair from behind* I am the team captain, I get the bragging rights! And yeah, sad to see Sudden Rush go. It goes to show how tough the competition got if such a great player gets eliminated. As for the next theme, I'm guessing "former band members going solo"? How fitting is that right after we just got a team round?

I don't mean to brag, but I think I actually got the top score this round. Further proof that "September " is awesome. Yes you did. You got first place votes from every judge except one. *cough*Baldy*cough* Here are my rankings: 1) "September" - Earth, Wind, and Fire (Michael Hayden: Number Dos): This is one of those groups that doesn't get nearly enough credit for how influential they've been. An excellent choice. 2) "Sunshine of Your Love" - Cream (Z-A Sandbaggin' Son of a b!% h): I'm a huge fan of Cream, so you may be at an unfair advantage here. Again, if you are going to pick a HOF worthy song, you can't go wrong with this. 3) "Cry Me a River" - Justin Timberlake (Ravishing One): The best of the "Rookie" songs IMHO. Time will tell if Timberlake is a future HOF'er, but right now he's one of the greatest pop singers in the world. 4) "Hotel California" - The Eagles (SsnakeBite, the No1 Frenchman): There's no doubt that this is one of the most acclaimed rock songs of all time. It ranked a bit lower for me just because it seemed like an obvious choice. 5) "Boston" - Augustana ("Sudden Rush" Sawyer): This kind of broke my heart because I love the song, but I can't quite rank it above the others. 6) "Salute Your Solution" -- The Raconteurs (Pegasuswarrior): The Raconteurs aren't exactly my cup of tea, so I really couldn't get into this choice as much as the others. This song split the panel, so take heart that two of the judges really liked your choice. Overall, you guys did a great job with this round, and delays aside, I'm glad that a team round actually went according to plan. The next round will be up later this afternoon. As for the next theme, I'm guessing "former band members going solo"? How fitting is that right after we just got a team round? And this isn't it.

As for me, my votes look a lot like Widow's:
1st: September- Earth, Wind and Fire: I blame Elite Beat Agents for this getting #1. So dang catchy!
2nd: Hotel California- The Eagles: A song I grew up with and liked heavily.
3rd: Cry Me a River- Justin Timberlake: The best of the rookie songs; if this were the weakest song on the rookie side, Sudden Rush would've had a better chance of not getting the axe.
4th: Sunshine of Your Love- Cream: Not exactly the greatest song, but it was still pretty good.
5th: Boston- Augustana: A shame I had to put this here, but you just faced a stacked round.
6th: Salute Your Solution- The Raconteurs: A song that really didn't gel with me whatsoever.
