As I broke last week in my PWInsider.com Elite audio, World Wrestling Entertainment is developing a potential feature film that would work as an Undertaker origin story. The as of yet untitled film is in the development stage and would be a Western set in the late 1800s.
...Aaaaaaaaaaaand fail.

Actually, this is one of the few WWE projects that has potential, since it's pretty much directly tied to a wrestling gimmick.

Yeah but they said its a WESTERN MOVIE SET IN THE 1800's. WTF???
I could understand if it was more of a gothic/horric/suspense movie slowly undertelling the origins of the undertaker but wtf at a western movie. FAILLL

I hope they literally try to explain everything, even the stuff that contradicted the stuff we previously knew.

Would Mr Calloway play himself?
Would Kane appear?
Would Paul Bearer?
Would Jezebel, their sister, who was created for the short lived comic book of the Undertaker's back history appear?
So many questions!
I'd go see it.

Will Undertaker serve in World War 2 under Captain America's command?
Then we see him taken to the Weapon X facilities so he can get his adamantium forehead after Viscera smooshes his orbital bone.

I love the idea...dont see how you can write it off. Well let's see... 1. It's already been done (Undertaker comic book). 2. The 1800s? Really? We're supposed to believe that not only the Undertaker, but Paul Bearer & Kane are all over 100 years old? 3. A Western? Seriously? In the Horror Age of Cinema, where even the shittiest horror movie makes a fair amount of money, you're making a story about a dead man with supernatural powers & his vengeful little brother a Western? 4. The potential for this to go completely off the page and rewrite EVERYTHING we've come to know about the Undertaker, Kane, & Paul Bearer, taking a massive dump over years of storylines & character development.

It sounds like two different films. Perhaps, the first film is how the Undertaker became the Undertaker and the sequel is about him seeing "Back to the Future Part III" at a drive-in and inspired him to build a time machine to travel back to the Old West.
Heart punches aplenty.

Although the Undertaker character did start off as some old time mortician with magical powers or whatever, a 1993 edition of WWF Magazine stated, straight from the Dead Man's mouth, that he has existed in some form "since before time began."
If that is not addressed then I shall declare this movie non-canon, good sirs.

A Western? And in the 1800's? But what will they have to explode in slow motion?
Oh, nevermind, this is WWE films we're talking about here. EVERYTHING will explode. Undertaker will probably use his lightning shooting powers that he absorbed from Emperor Palpatine to blow up one of the horses.
