THE ULTIMATE CHAMPION LEAGUE (gotta work on the name, but read on...
The top stars in the WWE... versus the top stars in TNA... versus the top stars in Ring Of Honor... versus the other federations' top guys...
All wrestling to crown the best wrestler in the world.
They could have a "March Madness" setting or something like that, but they could do it annually like a Super Bowl.
Imagine the ratings. Now the WWE can't win it all the time, they'd have to spread the "winner" around, but would Vince go for something like this?
I'd mark out for it. I'm sure I'm not alone.

Vince would never agree to this, but it's a nice fantasy.

Yeah, no way in hell Vince or even Dixie would agree to this. No way they would let their top guys lose to anyone not in their company.

I'd push for this too happen as it's a fantastic idea for wrestling fans. The WWE WOULD win this for the foreseeable future though. Danielson (allegedly signed) and well....

Problem is, Vince would never co-promote anything with TNA whether the result was a WWE win or not. The business model is to just pretend TNA doesn't exist, and to show their stars at all, even weakly, would be free publicity for Dixie's gang. Never gonna happen.

Yeah, there's also the problem that a large portion of WWE's audience will see it as "the top stars in WWE vs. a bunch of people you've never heard of" and likely not bother watching/buying tickets.

This as well as Vince not making his stars look weak against smaller promotions stars. To make it into the WWE you have to be something spacial and to be the WWE champion you have to be the best in the business or at least that;s the way Vince wants us to think and wants the fans to think. Always has been this way. That's why Flair never went over Hogan clean in a championship match in WWF. Also outside of WWE and TNA no one but die hard wrestling fans have heard of the company's outside of TNA and WWE and their champions champions and why they are considered good enough by their promoter to be that company's champion. This m,e be for die hard fans though a good bit of fantasy booking.

No smart promoter would let someone else have "the best in the world". Your promotion is king, and it should be in your mind, whether you have a bunch of rail-thin guys dropping each other on their heads, or whatever. You are the best, and to let people plow over your top stars to become the best wrestler in the world does less for promotion, and does more to make everyone else but the winner look like crap.

Ok...this works in other sports for one specific reason. They aren't predetermined events.
If this were some sort of actual "Shoot" competition between real fighters sponsored by their respective companies then you'd have a better idea, but as a worked sport no one's individualego would allow it to happen.
