Since everyone else seems to be getting an apppreciation thread, I figured I'd start one for DH Smith. I think he gets an unfair wrap, especially as the "weak" member of the Hart Dynasty. Nattie gets love for beig a good female wrestler, Tyson gets all kinds of love, but I don't see as much for David. I think it's a little unfair, consideribg since he's the "hoss" of the group, he tends to be forced into more of a brawler role, but it's obvious the guy can go, I'd say he won me over with his picture perfect northern-lights bridge suplex the other night. Anyone else think the guy has as much potential as I do?

I like the guy. He seems to be a good power guy. Plus he doesn't have hair that keeps me from taking him seriously.

The extra time in FCW did him well. His first few times on RAW, he was dull as dirt and not good but, since the return and Hart Dynasty stuff, he has shown something.

I WANT to like him since his dad was the generation that got me into wrestling. But he is boring. Like in the realm of Ted and Cody, famous father and training can get you a spot on the roster. But until they develop personalities and unique trademarks, they won't be as over or revered as they should be.

Yeah, but his Dad wasn't exactly known for having the most sparkling of personalities.

Anyway, I like the guy. His match recently with Matt Hardy was quite good, and he has one of the best superplexes I've seen, period.

I am open to suggestions. Tell me something. That's why. Understand? I was seconding the original motion that I quoted.

He will never out do his father, but I respect the kid, hopefully he'll get a push somewhere down the line

Anyway, the next year or two should be exciting. I was hoping he'd get a tag title run when he came back. The guy just turned 23 and is years ahead of so many guys.

YES!, DH Smith is great. Been a fan since 2007 now, and honestly, the lack of "personality" some people talk about isn't really his fault, he hasn't got any backstage promos, apart from like 2 (his EPIC promo about how he simply said he was better than Davey ever was and the other where he was copying cryme tyme's "yo yo yo!"). I think he's showing a great personality in-ring wise, his over-the-top celebrations never fail to amuse me. He's the future of the business IMO. Ring skill, mic skill (whether people believe it or not!) and a great look.
And I've been saying this since 2007.

Well I haven't really seen much of David Hart lately to give a fair opinion on his progress in ring wise, but I will say I do enjoy and appreciate when he actually shows a little personality, such as when he busted out that random dance a few months after winning a match against I believe it was Cryme Tyme.

OK.....he always has cool pants. He seems better than the last time we saw him.
I said I WANT to like him. I really do. I want the Hart Dynasty to succeed. I just want it to be clear that what they are lacking to really get over is really unique trademarks and personalities. Memorable wrestlers and wrestlers that sell tickets are those that do things unique to their character, things fans relate to and like to see as they watch the event. David Hart Smith along with Ted and Cody do not have that yet. It's like there's no creativity there. Give me something to like or hate.

I own his shoot interview, which I love watching as it's his perspective on the business from the son of a wrestler, turned wrestler himself.
And I own his action figures, and the new Hart Dynasty shirt.
I actually met him about 2 years ago, and he was the nicest, most humble and generous person I have met in my entire life. He was very funny and told good stories ... I wish his personality outside of the ring could shine inside the ring, and I don't doubt that with time, it will.
To say I am a fan is an understatement, and I think he's only going to improve. I love his matches and the chemistry him and Tyson Kidd have together. If he can stay healthy, I think he'll be on top within the next 5 years....

I mean, he can wrestle, and I do like him, as a big Hart Dynasty fan, but he is boring and I think all 3 members of the group need to develop, or be allowed to develop, more of a character. People won't care much for them until that happens.

Too bad he got busted on wellness. Who knows, he might've gotten over as an undercard babyface and slowly worked his way up. Now he's too busy lying down for Cryme Tyme.

He's great talent but will he be like his father? doubt it. I really don't see him as a main event superstar but I do see him as a mid card heel. I'd love to see him win IC gold or something.

I thought at the time, and still believe now, that moving the Hart Dynasty to SmackDown was a mistake. They got lost in the shuffle instead of being featured every week on ECW prominently.
