So what's Punk doing at Wrestlemania?

The past 3 years CM Punk has been on the Wrestlemania card, but he's always in the Money in the Bank match. Enough is enough dammit! With Punk getting a great run on Smackdown over the summer it looked like he might get a good feud to run with into WM 26, but now he's been pushed back down the card and put back on ECW.

So what happens now? I'm sure he'll be on the show, but in what capacity? Will we see him in his 4th straight MITB match? Will we see him in an ECW title match? Or will we get something really awesome, like a match with HBK?

Personally, I can't help feeling like he'll be thrown in the MITB again, and will probably win again. That is definitely the most dissappointing scenario to me (besides him being left off the show completely). What do you guys think?

This, and I do not mean this in any sort of tongue in cheek way, either. He just never seems to have any direction around that time of year, yet he's a go-to guy for title feuds when needed.

Could he win MITB again? I wouldn't be shocked if he does.

Yeah, A punk/Morrison match is how I'd go. They normally have good matches together so you know they'd bring their A game on the biggest show of the year.

Also putting people like Punk or Koffi in MITB would be a really bad idea and kind of give the message to talent "no matter how far you move up the card over the year, your still gonna wind up the same place at WM since all the other spots are taken by the same guys their last year"

its still a good bit off, but I just dont see his gimmick lasting that much longer. I fully and sadly expect him to be a face again come Mania time in the MiTB match. I really hope I'm wrong.

I have to disagree with those thinking he'll be in Money in the Bank. Unlike the last three years, he is now someone WWE builds storylines and matches around. The Money in the Bank is partially for the upper-midcard talent that they don't really have any big plans for in terms of building a story towards Mania. Of course I could be wrong and don't care if I am, but I think he'll get a storyline and a match to build up to and not just be one of eight thrown into that match.

I doubt they'd go this route, but I'd love it if somehow he could get a cross-brand match with Christian.

If Rey is able to compete, I think that we'll see Rey vs. Punk. Putting him in MITB again would be silly at this point.

Wait,I'm confused. You say he's been put back on ECW. Now I don't watch Smackdown but according to WWE.com,he's still on Smackdown. I know he teamed with Regal in that match on ECW a week ago but I thought that was just to promote the SS teams since R-Truth was there as well. Did I miss something or are you just referring to his match last week?

There are lots of singles matches Punk can have against a wide variety of people. Rey, Kofi, Miz, Morrison, McIntyre, Christian, etc. Make it for the US or IC title and it's a good upper midcard match.

Well if Rey is back in time maybe Rey beats Morrison, Morrison goes MITB, Rey faces Punk for the IC Title or a Triple Threat with Punk, Rey & Morrison. I know a nice dream right lol

3-time MITB winner...CM Punk! If Cena isn't the champ at Mania, I'd want Cena to face CM Punk. Their match on RAW was great and I think they could tear the house down at WM.
