Fans turned on Lashley and cheered on Big Show.
I think they will turn Lashley heel, and that would be a best case scenario.
Especially if it leads to the return of Paul Heyman as a backer of Lashley.
I want to see a Lashley/Punk fued for the title.

I dont, he's been in WWE for a year and is already champion, he's probably making good money too. That's all I'll say for now. Yeah agreed...plus he's pretty much already become egotistical since they moved him there...I'm almost positive we'll have another Brock problem pretty soon.

Well yeah..
Black Men are saving WWE.
Now if Only we could get Monty Brown playing Faarooq's angry black man character, and have him say he'll slap the black back into him.

I feel sorry for him only because he seems like a nice enough guy, and really seems to have alot of drive in what he's doing. Unfortunately that doesn't make him especially good. He's not bad either. He's just kind of there. And they hot shot the title onto him. Big mistake. It might have worked if they had taken some time with it and had him wrestle on the show a few times first. They should've thrown an obstacle or 2 his way. The result is not as exciting if the chase is non-existent.
Also. Right or wrong he did take RVD's and Sabu's spots. I'll agree that they probably deserved to lose their spots. But that doesn't mean Lashley was the one who deserved the vacant spot. It's a tough call. ECW has a smaller roster and a shorter show. They needed to look outside of ECW for someone. Lashley probably wasn't the right choice. An ECW original with world title credentials like Benoit would've been a better choice. Even Big Show, who had no ECW past, was a credible ECW champion. Lashley was just a poor choice. It's not his fault.

It's what Lashley wanted. If it blows up in his face it's his own fault.

the problem with ABOBO is that he had no fraking charisma. He is bland and boring.
Now if it was someone like Monty Brown who is descent in the ring and has a good amount of charisma it might of worked.

I don't dislike the guy or neither a big fan of his, but this ECW is now nothing like the old one , now that Lashley has become champion, the real ECW did not favour big men who were flavour of the month, and didn't just merely glide or cruise to the top, they had to be solid wrestlers, or were willing to put their bodies to the extreme. Lashley in the ring on D2D just played it safe, WWE-safe. Making Big show the champ was a good move, as it made fans who did not remember ECW to be introduced to it, and to give good ratings by bringing in a popular well-known staus with a presence. Lashley, though is a bad move.
He's a nice guy backstage, but there is NOTHING SPECIAL about him. Bringing Khali in, is another bad move.

i have no clue how anybody can say Lashley is a good wrestler. He has the look and THATS IT. No personality, no charisma, no mic skills, and if you think that clotheslines and a few release suplexes equal a good wrestler, than thats pretty sad. He is where he is because Vince likes that look (because Lashley looks not very different from the Raw and Smackdown champs) crap man yea they are twins!!!!!! It's what Lashley wanted. If it blows up in his face it's his own fault. Its what Heyman wanted as well. Heymens seems to be off on other endevours now, is his support a good thing or a bad?

They're hardcore, ya know! So they keep telling me. From the spoilers, tonight's ECW show looks like a good 'damage control' broadcast. I wish I could watch it in Canada. Do you have Global? Because where I am it plays on Global on fridays at midnight.

Am I the only one to feel sorry for Bobby Lashley? He is a great newcomer and he really is a great wrestler. He is big, agile, really powerful and very credible as someone, who could really beat most pro wrestlers in a shootfight. And he has been given the chance to become a World Champion. No one would turn such opportunity down. But since WWE is constantly raping ECW's legacy and we see McMahon's ass absorbing every little bit of what was once an alternative to WWE most ECW fans will NOT accept him as "their" champion. He is a babyface and is supposed to be cheered, but it seems that the ECW audience does not care for him at best. But, it is NOT Lashley's fault. They could replace him with Triple H or Cena and either of them would get X-Pac heat BIG TIME no matter if he was face or heel. They placed Lashley against Sabu (well, not technically since they killed his performance), CM Punk and RVD, which are 3 of the motherhuging most over guys not only in the new ECW, but in all that is WWE. Fans were longing for one of their heroes to win the strap (Oh damn, I can't say that!) and were let down by having the one face win, that has not yet been over on ECW. In Kayfabe Lashley was at the right place at the right time. In reality it's the exact opposite. Lashley needs a mouthpiece and a good build-up and that way he could be a future multi-time World Champ on RAW or SMACKDOWN, just not on ECW, which to me seems as some kind of test run division. So, I feel sorry for Lashley and just hope that he will overcome the heat he will face from ECW fans and really become the future. He's decent. He sounds like my nine year old nephew when he gets on the mic. WHEN he remembers his lines, he doesn't deliver them like he means them. BUT he has the look, which defines how wrestling has gone over the years. Apperance over skill and substance. The real shame is giving the guy a title on a show that might not have a very long future. Oh well, party while you can, duder.

I'm not personally attacking you, but I can't STANDS IT when someone generalizes and says that one opinion is shared by EVERY POSTER here. Contrary to the heel/edgy posters, just because someone believes something/likes a certain wrestler it doesn't mean they like that 'cause they're "sheep" and just go along with all the other members here. No more blanket statements, heel posters! Not everyone hates Cena, not everyone loves CM Punk. And major props to the poster comparing Blaster Lashley to the greatest mini boss, Abobo.
