another hard one for me...like i said i liked the harder KISS from the 90's...but theres also greatness in getting back to the straight rock n' roll 3 chords that made them famous.
Psycho Circus was a good album, but i always felt they made the album how everybody wanted them to make it....as sonic boom is the album KISS wanted to make.
Psycho Circus has alot of good songs, i always loved "dreamin" and "we are one" and i always thought that "within" would have made a great single and could have been a big hit.
on Sonic Boom i love every song on there, there arent any weak songs on the album, and its just a great rock album with heavy riff's and great solo's by tommy. so i went with sonic boom just becuase of how much more rocking that album is compared to psycho circus, but i still love both albums.

Yeah I feel that Dreamin' is one of KISS' best tracks, it's just a huge song. Same with Psycho Circus, both of those songs are phenonmal. But as you said Sonic Boom for me is perfect, Tommy and Eric sing great, and the playing and production is amazing. I'll agree with you that this is the album that KISS wanted to make, not KISS' critics which made the end result amazing, and KISS' best in years IMO. Thanks for voting man!

i voted for psycho circus
i liked that album much more than i thought i would. when it was announced that the original members of kiss were putting out a new album, it was a big deal. i remember that a friend of my brothers got a bootleg cassette about 6 months before the album came out so we had a barbeque and listened to the whole thing through and at the end our reactions were mixed. but when i heard the final product when it was properly released, i liked it quite a bit.
you also had the 3d tour, and i snatched a couple extra pairs of glasses when nobody was looking! not to mention that when my brother got married, during the reception, the wedding party was introduced to the blaring sounds of psycho circus!
i think sonic boom is a good album, but it hasn't grown on me enough yet.

Yeah I remember that 3D tour being huge (I think it was the only one of it's kind), I wanted to go but couldn't afford it. And awesome about the wedding, KISS music really is perfect for everything! Sonic Boom was decent to me on the first lesson, but by the second listen everything clicked, Paul sings amazingly, Gene reclaims his demon status in "I'm An Animal" and the guitar and drum work is incredible. Paul really did produce an amazing sounding album, the album is familiar but still sounds fresh and new, but while retaining the classic KISS sound. It really is a good record, thanks for voting Space Ace!
