Before you ask I excluded the new one because of the parallel reality thing.
Myself, while I quite like Star Trek VI and Star Trek First Contact and I think Star Trek Nemesis is underrated but I have to give the standard answer:
KHAAAANNN!

First Contact, with Khan and Voyage Home following immediately after.
The only movies I outright hate are the original, Insurrection, and, to a lesser extent, Nemesis. I even like The Final Frontier in the "so bad it's good" way.

I agree with Khan. I enjoyed First Contact (I saw it and Generations and in theatres) and The Voyage Home is a fun view in a slightly cheesy 80's movie way. Nemesis was pretty good in my book, although an asshole friend spoiled the ending.

Definitely has to be Wrath of Khan. The thing is a monument to hammy overacting. Shatner and Montalban were bad enough, but throw in the scenes with Walter Koenig (there's a bug in my ear!) and Nimoy and Kelley (Spock's death) and you have a masters class in scene chewing. It should be horrible, but instead it is a thing of beauty.
Close second is The Voyage Home for nearly re-creating the wonderful badness of Khan.

My favorite over all is the new one, but out of the options, Khan.

Man do I hate those TNG movies, f*** you Rick Berman....
Anyway more on topic, Wrath of Khan no doubt, it's everything that makes Trek great in one movie.

Wrath of Khan, in my opinion, the best of all the Trek movies. Although Voyage Home is a close second.
And what is the Search for Spook anyway? J/k.
Out of curiosity, why was Star Trek '09 left off the list? I for one really enjoyed that one.

Voyage Home, with Wrath of Khan a close second. As I prefer movies with humor in them, Voyage was more my style. Khan, though, was unintentionlly funny, having been a Freakazoid! fan for years before I ever saw it. Revenge is, indeed, a dish best served with pinto beans and muffins.

I should probably take this time to recommend SFdebris' Star Trek reviews on youtube. His analysis of Wrath of Khan is particularly insightful and well worth listening to,

This isn't a contest. Wrath of Kahn.
But I like alot of them, and I know it fits into the Odd-Movies-Suck rule, but Search for Spock was actually decent. Can't say that for the others.
Nemesis, the movie that killed a franchise. Along with Enterprise. Way to go guys.

Without the new one, which was probably a good exclusion, the pick is still pretty easy- KHAAAAAAAAN I think of old and new movie Trek like I do with the old and new Doctor Who TV programs. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, you can accept them for what they are, but can't excuse them.

Agreed.
The new one is actually my favorite of 'em, I just felt like had it been included, it'd probably be running away with this, much like Khan is now.

Agreed. The new one is actually my favorite of 'em, I just felt like had it been included, it'd probably be running away with this, much like Khan is now. Since excluding #4, none of the old Trek pictures made $100 million in America...yeah you might be right. I wouldn't rank new Trek that high though. Maybe middle of the pack, like Search for Spock or First Contact. Not special per say, but a good adventure ride fun time.

This just reminds me that even the best Star Trek movies... are good for Star Trek movies. Khan is iconic for it's hammy acting and one-liners (which, admittedly, were either iconic because they were taken from Melville or overacted).
