In response to the Bengals not trying tonight, there are conflicting reports. Now they have something to play for. They played San Diego damn hard a couple weeks back. I think they'd much rather have a shot at them again than go to Indy, even though that could be the better match up at this point. They need the #3 Seed to make it happen.

Chris Johnson needs 234 to break Dickerson's all time single season rushing record, does he get it?

If I were coaching a team, I'd almost rather see Indy than San Diego. San Diego's playing better than anyone in the league right now. That said, I'd rather not draw either team, but the Bolts aren't a better draw than the Colts.

What a shock, another pass interference call they don't get until the receiver throws a fit.
Something HAS to be done about that.

Sure hoping SD blows out Washington early so they can switch it to Philly/Dallas at some point.

Colts are vulnerable. But the general vibe in the organization is if they can get San Diego again, they'll take it.

The ref reactions. If the play is PI, then call it right when you see it. Don't wait 10 seconds for the wide out to decide for you.

Bill Belichick's sudden descent into dementia has spiraled out of control. He erratically and unnecessarily rotated between Tom Brady and Brian Hoyer at quarterback this afternoon, starting with Brady, then going to Hoyer in the second quarter, then going back to Brady, then starting the second half with Brady, then putting Hoyer in, then keeping Brady in as the lead disintegrated, then putting Hoyer in once the Texans had the lead.
Huh?
2009-2010 has been far and away the worst coaching performance by Bill Belichick since he joined the Patriots. Sure, he's known for making gusty moves and more often than not, they have paid off. However, this season, he's just made some mind-numbing decisions with absolutely no justification or expectations for repercussion.
As for the Welker injury, it's absolutely devastating, but it's not the end of the world. Julian Edelman can be a suitable replacement for Welker. He had 10 catches this afternoon, all of which were on Welker-type plays (screens, slants, etc). Not to say that Edelman is on par with Welker, but he can fill the void much better than Sam Aiken or Isaiah Stanback could fill the void for an injury to Randy Moss.
And one more thing: I don't know where CBS Sports is getting this news that Tom Brady has three broken ribs, but it couldn't be further from the truth. They may be bruised ribs, but they aren't broken. You can hardly breathe with three broken ribs, let alone throw 30-40 passes a game.
