So, let's say Bret comes back to guest host the fourth. Very likely, right?
Well, what happens then? How do you stretch the feud with McMahon out for basically three months?
Is he hosting, leaving, then returning?
What happens?

I smell a new screwjob in that show Yeah. I think DX vs. The Hart Dynasty for the tag titles will main event the show and Vince will screw the Harts.

And more importantly...the Harts are a SD team. I say Vince keeps trying to butt in on whatever Bret books for the night. The one thing I want to see? Bret slaps the piss out of Cena, followed by "The 5 moves of doom is MY thing!" Instant 10.0 for the night.

I was wondering if Bret and Shawn would have any interaction on tv at all. Especially since he wouldn't do the Hall of Fame unless Michaels was not there

Initial interaction with Vince, then a feud with a Jericho-led Hart Dynasty before going back to Vince in the lead up to Mania.
The Jericho thing can be something to freshen Bret up a bit, so he doesn't have to only talk about Montreal for 3 months.

I am most interested in his interaction with DX, given his real life feelings towards Shawn and HHH.

Shawn turns on Triple H and they drop the belt to the Harts. he aligns himself with Bret and Vince was the mastermind all along.

It won't be as hard to stretch out as you might think. Remember when Flair came back? He didn't step into the ring for two months either. A simple injury angle on the 1/4 show coupled with the fact that the Guest Host changes every week allows Bret to take a few weeks off after the 1/4 show. Bret can come back a few weeks later and get payback on Vince without getting into the ring in a match, but Vince being Vince he won't let it die. He comes back the next week to challenge Bret. Bret refuses a week later, saying he retired due to injury and wants to be remembered for how he was and all that good stuff. Vince keeps goading him on TV for weeks until Bret finally snaps and the match is signed for 'Mania.

Can he come back without mentioning Montreal?
I would enjoy that moreso, I think.

Last time I saw Bret after the stroke, he looked terrible.
I don't know what shape he's in to do angle beyond one night anyway.

There is no way they don't do something related to Montreal on the 4th. Its not happening.
Although now that I think about, I would love a Bret/Jericho program. Only thing with that is I think it would be similar to Jerichos WM program from last year.

Bret looks okay these days, not circa 1997 great, but not all that bad.
I think they do Dynasty vs DX with Bret as the ref, and then Bret "rings the f***ing bell" while Shawn is in the Sharpshooter, and when Vince comes out to reverse the decision, Hart knocks him out. Show closes with Hart Dynasty standing triumphant. From there build up to a big six man at Wrestlemania, culminating in Hart getting his revenge on all three guys who screwed him.

Vince will screw the Harts. Literally or figuratively? Also, I think the quoted sentence is written on a plaque that's hung somewhere in Vince's Stamford office.

Or they could do somehing similar to "The Battle of the Billionaires" where wrestlers will wrestle on behalf of Bret Hart and Vince McMahon.

Vince will screw the Harts. Literally or figuratively? A little of both probably. I really really hope they do something that eventually involves Jericho. Not saying that I want him to be a focal point, just something to give the Harts to do other than go BRET HART BRET HART BRET HART SCREWJOB KILQ WCW for 3 months, that gets old very fast.

Though it's more likely that Hunter would be the one to turn on Shawn since Bret seems to have more animosity towards Shawn, not Hunter.
