Yeah...no. In my eyes, he spent damn near the entire decade being mediocre to sloppy, and has just now stepped up his game. So while I'm no hater, I wouldn't put him in even my top 20.

He's been hurt for at least half of the decade!

Just like the PWI 500. It's measured by success.
Five World Championships in 5 years including two Mania main events. Of course, Batista is in.

Cena, HHH, HBK, Taker, Batista, Orton, Jericho, Edge, Jeff Hardy, CM Punk.
If it was only WWE current, that's what I'd go with.

He's been in enough Photoshop threads to be in any Hall Of Fame.

He's been in enough Photoshop threads to be in any Hall Of Fame. If there was a Photoshop World Championship,he wouldnt need rematch codes for it,because he would be champion all the time

Not a fan but from a kayfabe point of view, definitely worthy of his spot.
Five Time Champ, beat possibly the most dominant wrestler of the decade at Mania (HHH), part of Evolution, Royal Rumble winner, list goes on and on.
Cena, Taker, HHH, Angle, Orton, Edge, are the only real certainties, and then the rest would have a legitimate claim to being in the top 10.

I think Batista is easily. If we are just speaking WWE.

10th greatest wrestler? LMAO.
Booker Jericho RVD Orton Trips Shawn Edge Benoit Angle Cena (terms of impact)
Thats not even counting other promotions.. All greater than the Batista as wrestlers. Just off the top of my head.
But u can include Samoa Joe, Styles, Daniels and down the line as well

Here's what Ecks wrote regarding his criteria once he got bombarded by "workrate fans":
RESPONSE FROM KE: It's not really about in-ring work as much as it's about who the biggest stars of the decade were. If we were doing a list of the biggest stars from 1980 to 1989, would Hulk Hogan be left off the list? Anyway, Batista is better in the ring than people give him credit for. He does a good job as a power-based wrestler. Not everyone has to be Evan Bourne or Nigel McGuinness.

I wouldn't even consider him for the top 10 on Smackdown. I went there.

I love newpaper wrestling reporters, you have to remember if your getting wrestling news from a newspaper, its more geared to the casual fans, and thats why Batista is number 10. The writer knew who he had to list, and give him credit he did put Batista last.

Well, the writer even said, his list was based more on popularity then actual in ring ability, going by that, yes Batista deserves to be on the list... he's been steadily over since his Evolution run and is a 5 time champ.

Put some thought into this, since 2005 Big Dave's been main eventing, has always been over, and has been in some great matches. Dude's a GOD in the Phillipines, and well pretty much had an awesome career so far.
If we're only counting guys who've hit it big since 2000 Batista is up there.
