Tonight on SD Matt Striker noted Rey Mysterio as being a 19 time champion. What belts is this acknowledging? Just WWE, WCW, and ECW?

As far as Wiki is concerned he has held 19 titles between his WCW run and WWE run.

WCW and ECW, since there are still connective tissues to the modern WWE through those two. Probably all NWA titles up to Shane Douglas throwing down the title (as they wouldn't want to acknowledge the recent history with TNA, for example).

The WWE won't pretend like Micheals never held the AWA tag title or Mysterio didn't hold the ECW tv title. They just don't count them in their title reigns I guess, then again I never counted. But with RVD they would regulary talk about his record ECW tv title reign. I guess it just matters how important it was. Mysterio really became a star in ECW and Micheals was a tag team wrestler until '91 in the WWE and made most of his major accomplishments afterwards.

corndog...Mysterio never held the ECW TV title.
Guerrero and Malenko did, but not Mysterio.

This is the same thing as with Ric Flair. I mean he is a 20x World Champion and WWE does not acknowledge 4 of them

He has won 3 in NWA that did not count and the first ever WCW Title did not count either for some reason. Maybe because it was still under the NWA part back then and maybe because he resigned and went to WWF with that title. Only Vince knows

Flair lost and won the NWA title on overseas tours, like on one in New Zealand, there was a great article about his title reigns on PWInsider I think a while ago.

In the past WWE has also acknowledged Ken Shamrock and Dan Severan's MMA career, most recently with Lesnar's title win. Also, Kurt Angle's Olympic gold and any past and present NCAA champs.
