The go-to thread for Matt Striker References

after another evening of Matt foregoing commentary for referencing (relatively) obscure bands and other media i thought it would be interesting to make a thread listing them. I don't know if it will be interesting, but I'll start:

* Calling Batista 'The Altered Beast', presumably a reference to the track of the same name by ISIS, which features a member of previously referenced band TooL. or maybe it was a steroid comment?

I'd say it was more likely he was referencing the Sega video game 'Altered Beast'.

He called the Great Khali prior to his match against Chris Jericho two weeks ago "the Bollywood Brahma", or something like that.

I also enjoyed his Christmas sweater from last night's program, as well.

AWESOME! I hope I meet Striker at Fan Axxess next year so I can shake his hand and congratulate him on bringing together two of my favourite things, wrestling and Morrissey.

I think he was referring to Batista, but I do remember him calling an attack a "Vulgar Display of Power", a Pantera album.

Yeah, Altered Beast was a reference to the Sega Genesis/Arcade game and "You'll shoot you're eye out" was an obvious Christmas Story reference.
