I was talking to my non-wrestling fan brother about a number of things, and one of them that came up was Piper's bizarre promo when he hosted Raw (by way of mentioning his weird, homoerotic threat leading to Mania to toss Jericho like a salad).
And that got me thinking... One thing that came from that was Vince denouncing wanting to wrestle, and saying he only had one match left in him and Piper wasn't worth it. Then he kind of repeated that point briefly with Ventura, before the commentary thing came up.
So. . . Yeah. Can we take it to assume this Bret thing has had seeds planted for it for months, or is this ultimately going to be basically a BLAM? Kinda curious to hear thoughts on that.

I thought of the same thing and since I heard the news (okay guys sorry NEWZZZZ) that Bret vs McMahon was planned for WM 22 last week, I think it will happen this year and since Bret Hart always sucked in Street Fights(Well I have yet to see a good one with him, ok he did not have alot of those, but still) I don´t think the wrestling will be ***** Star

Although I still don't see how Bret could wrestle ANY match at this point.

Admittedly, one with Vince would probably consist of getting hit with a weapon once or twice in between beating the hell out of him. Pretty much the Shawn Michaels fight without the Spirit Squad, probably.

I thought it was setting up Taker vs Vince at the time, particularly with the whole Teddy probation/conspiracy designed to keep the title off of Taker for a reason that hasn't been revealed yet. Why they wanted to do that, I don't know.
Maybe they'd always planned on Bret vs Vince and Taker was a back-up if Bret didn't sign. There was talk they used the Screwjob finish at Breaking Point because they wanted to plant seeds since they were in talks with Bret incase he did sign, and you then have Taker involved should they need him.

While I don't think he can, I would like to see it if he can if only so he can have a great way to cap off his run.

Yeah, what I'd figure was the thought process - Taker was in pretty much the perfect position as a back up plan, and they could've come back to it pretty easily had Bret not gone with them. Granted, I'd personally take Taker / Vince over Hart / Vince any day.

I'm sure Bret Hart could handle a match with Vince in His condition. An hour broadway with Kurt Angle is out of the question though

That's one of the good things about pro wrestling matched being scripted: You can to a certain degree work around injuries and avoid risky stuff.

From shoots and watching Vince wrestle, I think Vince/Bret if it's more than just clothesline->Sharpshooter would be bad.
Seriously vince just whallops on Hogan, Shane, The Rock, Austin, Taker...among others I don't think Bret's brain could handle it.
