Matt Striker says "lets keep in mind that a young skinny kid from Chicago debuted on ECW, and that young skinny kid from Chicago is now the new World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. Lets see if Sheamus has what it takes."
Is Striker psychic and did he know the Sheamus was going to become a world champion quickly like Punk? Maybe WWE had plans as early as Sheamus' debut. I don't think any ECW commentator has implied a debuting wrestler was a potential future world champ.

Is Stryker psychic and did he know the Sheamus was going to become a world champion quickly like Punk? Um, Punk took several times as long as Sheamus to become a world champ.

It was less than a year, especially if you count the WCW title, so it was at most twice as long. Not too bad a comparison, since both were relatively short times as far as this sort of thing goes. I think Striker may just be good at picking them, either that or he may of known WWE had plans for him.
