MAy I ask why? And what about Jarrett? D'Lo not counting was a joke Kurt made during a promo.

During Bob Holly's shoot interview, he claims that MMA "didn't exist" around the time the WWE began doing Brawl for All. I'm the last one to defend Holly on things, but MMA wasn't as well known back then. I suspect his claim is more ignorant than moronic. Wasn't the Brawl for All after the WWE signed Ken Shamrock? And Dan Severn.

Larry King: What do you make, John, of the large amounts of testosterone? Why would Benoit do it?
John Cena: I don't -- I'm not a doctor. Larry, I don't know. And that's something that I'm really uneducated about. I wish I could help you out there, because maybe that would help us. Maybe that would give another theory to what's happened. But as far as testosterone supplementation, I -- I can't give you an educated answer, so I don't even want to theorize.
John Cena is a lifelong body builder and holds a degree in sports exercise, but he doesn't know that Benoit would have needed testorerone to get bigger.

And Dan Severn. Correct. But Holly might have been speaking from a recognition standpoint (i.e. MMA "didn't exist" because it wasn't a big threat to the WWE like it is now). Either way, I still think he was more ignorant than moronic, since I doubt he was much of an MMA follower back then.

Another addition:
*Bret Hart, currently. 1997 called, it said, "Get over it!" Even Michaels already admitted in 2002 that he was in on the screwjob, and has already moved on.
*Vince Russo claiming that he was the only person responsible for turning the WWE around.
And to the posters talking about Cena, watch CNN's Death Grip interview, as they pulled a Rock Bottom (not The Rock's sig move) and edited the interview ("...so I grabbed--her--sweet can...")

Wouldn't a better topic be non-moronic comments made by wrestlers, since most of them are moronic.

I believe Bret is over it already, it's just that he's so closely associated with that incident that every interviewer seems to want to ask him about it and I'd guess that the fans ought to get over it more than he should. Perhaps you should say the same thing to WWE as it seems they're intent on revisiting it every time they're in Montreal.

"Jeff made one of your favorites, CM Punk, a legitimate main-eventer on Jeff's way out the door. So maybe you can at least find respect in that fact." -Matt Hardy What's moronic about that? It's exactly what happened and is the only thing I really respect Jeff for ATM

So many times, we hear people say, "Cena's on steroids. Just look at him!!! I don't look like that, despite the fact that I sit on my couch and eat chips all day and he's been in the gym most of his life!!!!" As a result, I'm usually the first one to come on these boards to defend him. But, this is something Cena's got no excuse for. Well played.

When around 1999, HHH said Flair was washed up and finished and Benoit would have to learn how to work in the WWF.

Russo always said it was a team effort with him,VKM,JR,Cornette, among others. WCW was the ones that thought it was all Russo.

Ric Flair claiming that Bret Hart cared more about the screwjob than he did about his brother's death. Flair actually said that? That's pretty crappy, if true. I swear it's getting harder and harder for me to remain a Flair fan these days.

Meh, I lost my faith in Ric Flair when he started talking crap about WCW immediately after his signing by WWE.
Dude only cares about that sweet, sweet money, which he promptly squanders 2 secs after getting.

Um, shouldn't Flair be loyal to the McMahons? I mean, they hired the guy twice, were good to him both times, helped him out with his taxes, paid him to wrestle long after he had any right to do so on national television, and did all this long after his prime.

There's a difference between being loyal and going with the McMahon company line of rewriting history whenever they want. Especially when it was the NWA/WCW where Flair spent the most of his career. The way he played ROH doesn't help his case much.
