+ Ric Flair got his ass kicked + Michaels had the longest match against him + Snuka put him over huge + Paul Bearer got real fat, but was still all kinds of awesome + Im sad there was no Mankind Vs Taker at mania, he could have come across as someone to really break the streak + Taker was pretty sloppy with the Tombstone mid career, mainly due to his own weight I believe.
One thing that came across to me was how Sid and Diesel had him beat. If it wasnt for Harts intereference of Diesel being overly cocky, both could have beat him.
Its amazing watching the first match with Kane, then watching the second. IT highlights how the undestructable monster Kane became a glorified jobber. Both men lost a ton of weight between the matches to and you can tell by how agile they are and how much easier the tombstones seem.
I'm pretty shocked Taker hasnt broken a big guys neck, I cringed at all the tombstones on the taller guys, especially Kane and him in there first mania match.

both Kane and Taker had their era of Indestructability. Taker was pretty much "get knocked down, rise up again" for the first 6-7 years of his career. Only more recently did the Dead Man seem, well, more alive.
I also kinda feel sad he lost so much weight over the years. Early on, it made him seem like this towering personification of fear, back when he really didn't speak.
I think my favourite Mania entrance of his is XIV. That's the first time he had the whole chanting druid entrance. was so epic back in the day.

Kane was a beast back in 98 but by 2004, Taker slapped him around like he was his Daddy. It was sad to watch.

The...first Tombstone, I think?...does look nasty on Kane. His head actually turns on impact, I think he moved his head just enough just in time. The other two tombstones from Taker were fine. I've said before that if WWE could get one result back, I'm sure they'd have wanted Taker to beat Gonzalez 1-2-3. That one as a DQ victory makes it, technically, look like the closest win for Taker and that's really not the case.
