I've only watched the '89 Batman since I first saw Dark Knight, but I still love the heck out of it. It's been so long since I've seen Returns, that I'd need to see it again to know for sure how I feel. I never cared for Forever and Robin, so no change there guess. I don't feel any different abut Begins. If anything, repeated viewings of Dark Knight make me feel differently about it and it's problems become a little more apparent. I mean, I still love it, but it's not perfect. Overall, I guess what I'm trying to say in my drawn out ramblings is that nothing really changes at all.

I still think 'Batman Forever' was the best one. Proving once again why I am very, very glad WC doesn't actually control the creative industry. Indeed, why have entertaining films when we can have boring ones.

I imagine some people around here would deliver some stellar material dealing with characters like: Plastic Man Lobo Captain Canuck Or...and I know this is a really dirty phrase in Hollywood...something new and fresh

Actually, yeah I found Jims antics quite entertaining in that film, it was a laugh riot. "He may have to settle for the Bronze".

Just to go WWE Current, you'll see the whole thing for free there LEGALLY! And we'll throw in "Ted's Gonna Be a Huge Singles Star", "Jim Ross Said it so it Must be True" and everyone's favorite... PUNK HAS NUKLEAR HEATZ: Part 72. Now that's entertainment!

Yes! Yes! Yes! I love Squirrel Girl. Please let me direct! Also, I much prefer Batman Begins over The Dark Knight. Just sayin'.

I disagree completely. Batman is still a fun movie in it's own right and has great performances all around. Saying the movies before Dark knight are bad because they aren't as good is ridiculous. Batman is one of two Tim Burton movies that I can actually stand. The other being Pee-Wee. This. A year and a half later, I still can't understand why The Dark Knight is up on such a pedestal. It's the most pretentious comic book movie I've ever seen, and it has no reason to be. Batman and the Joker together on screen should be a fun, wild ride. It shouldn't be some 2 1/2 hour emo-fest trying to be something other than what it is - a comic book movie.

Batman (flaps arms) (maniacal laughter) I have been watching more and more of Batman Returns and totally love it I put it on equal footing as The 1989 Batman.

Oh man.
We're having this conversation again? Seems to come up every couple of months.
"Dark Knight sucked"
"No it didn't."
I liked it. But I understand if some people didn't.

No offence, but that argument is far more pretentious than the movie ever came close to being.

I haven't seen the full movie since after I already watched The Dark Knight. It was fun, but it lacks consistency. The start is real grim and serious and then... Nicholson happens. IMO they should've either gone the TDK way and keep it all bleak and realistic, or just have all out fun withit without trying to present themselves as anything else than a superhero movie aimed at teens/adults. Batman Returns is vastly superior. It has all the over-the-top silliness of Batman And Robin, but the overall tone that accompanies it makes it just so freaking cool. Probably the best superhero movie ever aside from Watchmen (I don't count TDK as a superhero movie because it really is more of a crime drama with one of the protagonists just happening to be the goddamn Batman)
