by being a mark, instead of a smark?
Not knowing all the online shit, not knowing backgrounds of wrestlers, but instead liking faces, and disliking heels.
We def wouldn't complain to much, and would enjoy it more.

I know what you're saying, I certainly enjoy it more when I just watch it without going online before or during the show to read about all the crap.
It's why still I am such a little 7 year old mark for Hogan as today he is the ONLY person who when he's on I can just forget myself and be 100% pure mark, and that's more fun. Unquestionably it's more fun and I only wished I had the opportunity to that that more often. Right now it's only the Royal Rumble main event, Wrestlemania and Hogan that does that to me.

You can go online or pick up a paper and know the endings of every single first-run show that's due to come on next week.

Mark was good, enjoyed it
But love it as a Smark, to basically, tell my wife exactly how the DX-RKO Match would go Exactly How the Cena - Show match would go Exactly How Kennedy - Undertaker Match (Taker Loses then decimates opponent after loss)
Its good for her to second guess me, but I dont need spoilers to know what Mcmahon is going to do

I enjoy being a smark more because it has raised my standards in terms of entertaining me. Also, I sometimes like to just write songs for the hell of it, and I believe that the fact that I became "smartened" to wrestling has carried over to my lyrics. I try to write stuff that actually means something, has substance, and isn't all cute and crap just for the sake of pleasing a bunch of idiotic sheep that only look for puppy love, gold chains and teeth, bragging about money and material items, homophobia, clubbing, hustling, and glorified sexism.
As a smark, I actually feel more complete as an intellectual human being.

Doesn't make much difference to me when it comes to the WWE product...back in the day, before WM 4, I predicted the outcome of every match in the World title tournament. No clairvoyance, no insider tips, it was just so damn obvious how it would play out. The booking for the WWF has always been pretty predictable, even in the Bruno days. Sad that the stalest promotion EVER now has a virtual monopoly on the business. Classic mid-south (UWF), Memphis and World Class has some great angles with plenty of twists and turns, and for the most part they made sense (with the exception of many angles booked by Jerry Lawler) and were entertaining 90% of the time. As much as I loved the NWA/Crockett era, Dusty's booking sucked and was always predictable, and Patterson's booking for the WWF was downright idiotic in it's simplicity. And I don't even want to think too long about Kevin Sullivan's booking. Urg. What was the topic again?

I think I prefer it as a smark. It got me up from just watching for storylines to watching for the actual wrestling.
For the record, smark or mark, if the Matt/Edge/Lita deal proved anything, we are ALL marks.

I enjoy the great things about wrestling more as a smark those it wrestling isnt good its much easier as a mark. I watch SS with about half mark/ half Smark group. The marks like the show more but I when something truly great happens I feel I take much more pride and care about whats happening.

It would be 1000 times more enjoyable if I only could tolerate Cena.
Furthermore I agree with Torch about Hogan.

that whole intellectual comment was ironic, it's professional wrestling lol not every wrestler has a raven like understanding, most are low lifes

I still enjoy the show. Like tonight. I won't be on the board very much come 9 p.m. and I'll just watch and enjoy. It's much easier if you can flip off the Smark Switch at showtime.

There are very, very few times I would have prefered to be a mark.
1. Vince McMahon opening Monday Nitro 2. Mankind winning the WWF Title on fingerpoke night.
That's probably it. Come on guys, being a mark is by definition being uninformed and blissfully ignorant. Has anyone here gone to college and wished the world were still as they knew it in the fourth grade?

that whole intellectual comment was ironic, it's professional wrestling lol not every wrestler has a raven like understanding, most of the industry in AMERICA are portrayed as low lifes corrected for accuracy Wrestling doesn't have to be a joke, but those who have that choice in which direction to take it continue to disagree with me.
