Anyone ever hear of this thing? It fancinates me and I can never get enough of reading about it. I'd love to see the real thing in person and I always wonder if anyone is ever going to decode what the thing actually is. For those who don't know, it's a manuscript written in a completetly unknown (or two) language. And also contains various odd and perplexing pictures to go along with it. www.voynich.nu/index.htmlThis site is a great resource and even links to pictures of the actual manuscipt page by page, as well as possible explanations.

Yeah, this was on a Cracked list some time ago of mysterious discoveries that science can't explain.
The Bloop was #1.

I did a Type 3 project based on it. I came up with a legible alphabet based on the characters from the book and transcribed selected chapters of Fight Club.

That thing is crazy. it can't be a hoax since it was dated as being from the 15th or 16th century, and it's incredibly detailed and complex, so it seems unlikely that it's just a hoax. Besides, back in the days, very few people had the knowledge, let alone the funds, to produce a book, draw miniatures, make-up a language and all that stuff, so you'd think someone who could do that wouldn't waste that much time, energy and money just for fun.
But then again, even the best codebreakers in the World couldn't figure out what was written, so does the language actually mean anything? Is it a personal, insanely complex code made by someone to revent anyone else from reading their notes?

Yeah, but this was more of a prophecy/warning, as opposed to a mere prank.

I'm talking about the book your teacher told you of. I assume it's supposed to be a message sent to future generations. And BTW, when I say it can't be a hoax, I mean it's not a fake artifact created recently in an attempt to fool scientists and historians (as opposed to stuff like crystal skulls, for example).
