Next week on iMPACT!, and throughout the week on TNA's official website, they are showing the Top 10 PPV matches of 2009.
Here in the UK they have already showed the top 10 PPV matches tonight in iMPACT!'s usual slot. Therefore, I bring you the top 10:
1. AJ Styles v Daniels v Samoa Joe - Turning Point
2. Desmond Wolfe v Kurt Angle - Turning Point
3. AJ Styles v Sting - Bound for Glory

Of the top 5, 1, 2 and 5 were the only ones I thought were truly great. The UX was more about Daniels's bump and, the Sting/AJ match just wasn't that good, IMO.

Yeah, Sting/AJ didn't deserve to be 3rd. It incidentally got the shortest amount of time allocated for highlights. I think it's up there mostly down to the fact that it was the main event of THE show of the year, it was *potentially* Sting's swansong, and it involved AJ Styles.
Ultimate X wasn't a bad match. Wolfe/Angle, and Daniels/AJ from Final Resolution should have made top 10 as well, but I guess they probably wanted to have a bit of diversity in terms of the matches they had on.
Angle/Morgan probably shouldn't have made it, nor the Six Sides of Steel match.

The UX was bad but, to me it was just a one spot match. Really to me the Jarrett/Angle match and Foley/Abyss MB were both well above 3 and 4 and, really the number 10 would be in my top 6 as well. |

Hmmm... I'd have had the X Division KOTM match in before the Ultimate X from Bound for Glory honestly. The Falls Anywhere match between Dinero and Suicide was also worthy.
I'm surprised at some of the match choices they had in there. Beer Money Inc's matches with Creed and Lethal at Genesis and Against All Odds, Daniels v Joe at No Surrender are the ones that come to mind that SHOULD have been nominated in my humble opinion.

Very good list, but yeah the orders a bit missed up. Foley/Abyss could have been 3rd, with Kurt/Jeff above the X as well.

I just noticed Foley vs Abyss was there. Obviously they missed the negative sign in front of the star ratings.

Sacrifice: Samoa Joe vs. Kevin Nash 0% Tee hee. Well at least the top two right. The Turning Point matches were the best this year IMO |

It was only 5-10 minute highlights for us, but as Ric says in the US they'll be showing the top 3 in full.
Another glaring omission: Chris Sabin v Alex Shelley from Genesis! How did that match not even make the poll?

this air in australia last night and i watched it very very drunk but i could still tell it was so heavilty edited for tv, the cuts were rediculous, half the matches were missing

but my point is if you had seen all the ppv like me then it was pointless to watch the show
...other then have your sister say wow kurt angle has no hair and why is mick foley wrestling himself

Yeah, I've seen all the PPVs too, so I can see where you're coming from. But it was a nice reminder of some of the high points of the year I guess.

Yeah, I thought Abyss/Foley in Monster's Ball was damn good. I mean I could understand Foley/Sting or Angle/Foley but, I don't know.
