I got a link for the Celebrity Super Bowl picks from the Colts message board. Here's the link sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2009/news/story?id=4888218I was very excited to see Hogan picked the Saints to win in a blowout, this is a good sign for the Colts! Stacey Keibler picked the Colts, which makes me like her even more. Also, I really don't care what most of "celebrities"(this term is used rather loosely based on who they asked) think about the Superbowl, but I found it interesting most of them picked the Colts. Especially since most of the country is rooting for the Saints, and the politically correct choice would be the Saints.

That's because the Manning/Colts have already won a ring, and well the Saints are the feel-good story at a time when we don't feel so good.
It's not that complicated.

The real shocker of the night would be if either team actually blew out the other.

The real shocker of the night would be if either team actually blew out the other. I think it really hinges on how each team's defense plays. The Colts are gonna have their work cut out for them covering the Saints receivers, but if New Orleans doesn't blitz the Colts' offense, Peyton Manning will do what he does best--sit back in the pocket and launch rockets all over the field. I gotta say I'm picking the Colts, and I want them to win against the Saints because most of my friends jumped on the Postseason bandwagon to New Orleans.

I agree, it really is about who's defense makes the big plays. Neither of them have dominant defenses, but can definitely help them win plays. It will certainly be interesting since both teams have such dominant offenses, I seriously doubt it will be a blowout. If the Saints blitz it could actually hurt them. Although Manning isn't the most mobile QB, he can get rid of the ball very quickly and doesn't get sacked much. Actually alot of times Manning will make teams pay for blitzing since it opens up the receivers more. As far as the Colts defense goes, I think the blitz will be their big weapon, if they can sucessfully get pressure on Brees with the Defensive Ends, it certainly could win the game for them. I just hope Freeney is able to play and be effective.

Well, I'm glad to see that The Professor from Gilligan's Island picked Indy. That is my pick as well.

Well, I'm glad to see that The Professor from Gilligan's Island picked Indy. That is my pick as well. I've been waiting all week to hear what Russell Johnson thought would go down on Super Bowl Sunday. If only I knew whether Jim Backus thought Indy would cover the spread, but unfortunately he's been dead for more than 20 years.
