My ex-wife is getting married this weekend, and I don't trust her as far as I can throw her. Right now, my son from that marriage lives with me, and I wouldn't put it past her to wait 6 months or a year, and then try to file for a reversal of the custody arrangement, saying that a married couple would be a better environment for a child to be raised in than a single parent. I don't trust the courts in the state we got divorced in, either. She gave him up without a fight to begin with, and the guy she married is 38 years older than she is, and she's so crazy she's disabled, but I still don't trust the courts to use common sense here.

would this really be the best forum to look for a lady wanting to get married to a random stranger?
Why not try a Soap Opera forum?

Then move out of state.

Already did. State we got divorced in retains jurisdiction, and will only give it up at their discretion, and with enough prodding by lawyers. Trying to buy a house right now, so my money needs to stay put as much as possible. Upside is, buying a house = permanence, and that makes it harder for a court to uproot a child.
Bigger upside: I made Banjo sad.

And then at the wedding, right when the priest says if there's anyone who thinks this shouldn't happen, speak now or forever hold their peace..............
