Both the RAW and SmackDown brands have two hour shows each week, yet ECW only has one hour to develop its stars and brand. Since ECW is the newest WWE brand, this lack of time hurts them. However, there is a way that WWE can give ECW another hour without extending ECW On Sci-Fi--they can give Heat to ECW.
Think about it, what's WWE really doing with Heat these days? It's mostly used for recapping events (which they already have shows for) and jobber matches. If ECW had Heat they could showcase their newer and lesser known wrestlers and develop their characters. The show would still be taped at RAW shows so nothing would really change in that respect.
I think it's a good idea. What does everyone else think?

Honestly no, I think HeAT should be used to showcase lower card guys from both RAW and SD. ECW just needs a second hour.

I don't think HeAT should even exist any more.
I miss early 1999 HeAT, where it was a show like Smackdown! where storylines were advanced.

No, not a good idea. Eventually, Heat will be good again, Velocity will return, ECW will become a full 2 hour show and it will have its own web show. Imagine Heat as ECW... it would be RAW with ECW wrestlers... not a good idea.

Well, ECW is basically an hour of a modified SmackDown! with a better atmosphere and better wrestlers. Although, a web ECW would'nt be so bad...

Yes the old HeAT was great, it was on Sunday usually a few minutes after the NFL day games were done. I liked their PPV preview shows. Most importantly it gave lower midcard guys a platform.

Man HeAT ruled in 1998-1999, you had guys like Kane, Taker, Mankind, and Austin on semi-reguarly, as well as great midcarders like Snow, Holly, NAO (great at the time at least) Then the second "glory period" was the Stevie Night HeAT era featuring great matches from the likes of Stevie Richards, Tommy Dreamer, Goldust, Hurricane, Matt Hardy, and more.
