Ok, I've been thinking about this for a while. Edge's gimmick is the Rated R Superstar, and he kind of has this whole rock star thing going on. So my real question is, if Jericho had decided to stay, do you think this would have been his gimmick. He just fit the rock star mold to a T, as he really is a rock star, and I think he could pull off the Rated R Superstar thing better.
Oh and another question that has been bothering me, I've watched wrestling since like 1991 but for the life of me, I can't figure out how the Ministry of Darkness Undertaker "died" and the Bikertaker came to be. Like I remember the debut of Bikertaker, but I just can't remember how the ministry one ended. I was just wondering if someone could give me the backstory on this one.

I can answer the Taker question. In '99, he was tagging with Big Show, and had been "shooting" in interviews about hating his gimmick. They were building up to him dropping it, then he got injured and was gone for about 8 months. When he returned as a face at Judgment Day 2000, he was BikerTaker.

The only one I remember is Kevin Kelly asking him about comments he'd made regarding his gimmick, and Taker said something like "The office is making me stick with this crap for the time being".

Taker was scheduled to be in six-pack challenge at Unforgiven 99, last he got in a argument with Vince, Vince threatened to take him out of the match he walked off and then we didn't see him again until Judgement Day (that's what I remember about that)

I don't remember where I read it but the Undertaker has said that the Demonic, Satanic, Sacrificing gimmick was his least favorite gimmick he did. He hated it and he just publicly spoke out about it whenever he could.

I never thought it was a "rock star" gimmick, but there are similarities.

Thanks for the clarification on the Undertaker thing. After someone mentioned that six-pack challenge, I seem to remember something about it. It was bugging me so much though as to why he would be so mad at Vince upon coming back, after they had been in the corporate ministry together.

I can't say I blame him.
Telling the audience that the Big Show drank snake blood and carried his motorbike from Death Valley to the nearest populated municipality would push anyone's tolerance to the limit.
