is gonna play Richard Pryor in a biopic.
Not gonna whine about it, but you and I know his career is dead and gone if he f***s this up.

smh.
All joking aside I have no idea what made them think this was a great casting choice. What I always wondered is, why do they get well known, established actors to play well known, established actors?

Marlon Wayans had a career after In Living Color? Yeah, they called it Requiem for a Dream. Didn't last very long though.

Doesn't seem to fit, but the guy CAN act when he tries. Granted he usually just mugs for the camera, but he has the ability.

Hey, the guy who was in a show about a hotel got to play Ray, so it's not such a big shocker.

Usually stuff like this doesn't piss me off but come on!!! Marlon Wayans over Eddie Murphy? Are these producers on crack?! Did they just replace Murphy or did he drop out? Please tell me he dropped out.

Maybe he does a real good impression? Hoping this deals more with his dark side than the comedy, like Man on the Moon

If they crap all over the memory of Richard Pryor, we riot.

Hold off, I say. Marlon can actually throw down. It's hard to look past his "body of work" sometimes, but I will withhold judgement until I see the film. Maybe they know something we don't.

I think it's actually pretty good casting. He's well known enough to have some name value, but not so well known, that he'll overshadow Richard Pryor. He honestly wasn't bad in GI Joe, and I think he'll surprise some people with his performance as Pryor.

He did a great job in 'Requiem for a Dream' and will most likely pull off the performance of his career. I say wait until we pass judgment. There was a time when people thought that Jim Carrey was nothing more than a one-act comedian. Then, 'The Truman Show', 'Man on the Moon' and 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' came out and he silenced his critics.

Marlon Wayans had a career after In Living Color? He made an awful lot of money between then and now for a guy without a career. I think you meant to say "Scary Movie 2". That's when the bottom started to fall out.
