There was a moment in the DX/JeriShow match that irritated one of my wrestling pet peeves.
Michaels has Big Show laid out in the corners, and starts to climb the turnbuckle, presumably for his diving elbow drop or something. However, Jericho comes around outside the ring and pulls HBK's leg, causing him to crotch himself on the ring ropes. After selling this and rolling back to the mat, Michaels covers Big Show for a pin attempt.
All of this probably takes somewhere in the neighborhood of 15-20 seconds, and the entire time, Show lays there on his back, not moving.
If he's going to lay there senseless for that long, why didn't Shawn just pin him already?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against top rope/turnbuckle moves. Some of my favorite guys have figured them prominently in their movesets...when Shawn started to climb the turnbuckle, I was happy because I mark for his diving elbow drop. But every time, my suspension of disbelief is strained a little, a part of me is annoyed, because logically you could just get the pinfall in the time it takes you to climb up and do your drive/flip/whatever.
Are we supposed to believe the guy is laying there just to rest? Is the attempted pin supposed to snap him out of his daze, so the top rope move is necessary to make sure he stays down? It just bugs me.

My only thing with it that bothered me was after...its the second time they've tried to get the crowd to sing that stupid "Na na na hey hey hey good bye" song...and no dice.

Me too. The part where DX won. Not sure if serious....but I agree anyway. In some way, shape or form, Hart should have done something in that match to stack the deck against DX. He made his peace with SHAWN. Not Hunter. He could have restarted the match after the midget interfered, because after all, Horny screwed Jericho, did he not? But no. HHH gets to go over Jericho again, and humiliate him to boot. For a show where the WWE was supposed to try it's best to give us "new" things, a lot of this was "same old status quo".

I loved Hornswaggle getting kicked in the head.
I don't get it. He is so mean spirited and has always been a jerk, yet we are supposed to like him cause he's little.

There's gotta be some new song these days that's all about saying goodbye that the kids in the audience will know right? I gotta say, I thought the match was good. But every time Triple H set up Jericho for the Pedigree, I kind of cringed.

Well with Bret getting kicked in the balls to end the show, you gotta think he'll get suspicious of Shawn and Hunter again and start screwing with them. At least that's the logical progression, but then it blurs the lines between face and heel, which doesn't always work.

That was so sad. There's gotta be some new song these days that's all about saying goodbye that the kids in the audience will know right? "It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right, I hope you had the time of your life" There...that Green Day song do anythin' fer ya?

I'm talking about the Es target audience here, that song was pretty big when I was younger. C'mon, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, gotta have something.

I guess the marks should think that only Vince and Shawn were in on the screwjob, not the ref, not backstage buddies of HBK. Gotta keep it simple for us dumb fans universe.

If he's going to lay there senseless for that long, why didn't Shawn just pin him already? HBK is suppose to be a showman. He likes the theatrical stuff. If theirs actually any logic behind it, I guess that would be it...

When the guy on the mat lies there for long enough for the other guy to climb the ropes, he's dazed, trying to get his wits about him, perhaps simply too hurt to get up until he recovers a bit. If he were pinned, he could probably escape, if only on instinct. The flying move from the turnbuckle may be enough to finish him, but without it the pin wouldn't work, no matter how long he layhs there recovering.
