I'd personally cheer for Orton since he's one of my favourites but I think Sheamus will win and probably lose it at Elimination Chamber.
If Orton wins though......Orton vs. Kofi is a lock for Wrestlemania.

Perhaps Orton will finally become the Stone Cold-esque "evil" face that the fans have been wanting him to become ever since he punted Vince McMahon.

Wait a minute...I'm sure Cena will find a way into the match and win it.

Wait a minute...I'm sure Cena will find a way into the match and win it. I could see him maybe getting in, but I don't see him winning it back yet. He might, but I think they wanted to free him up for the Rumble by removing him from the possible matchup.

I see a triple threat with Orton pinning Sheamus, and inevitably the match we all wanted to see: Orton / Cena (mk LXV) at Wrestlemania.

If Orton kept his EXACT same character but as a face, he would be the most over face in the WWE and the new poster boy, hands down.

I like the idea of this match. I mean I do not think it will be bad at all. It is a good idea. It is also a fresh main event. I feel when set and done Orton will be our new champion after rumble.

I love the setup, but this probably means that Cena will win the Royal Rumble. As long as they don't go to a Triple Threat match (which will happen for the World Heavyweight Championship...), this has a lot of posibilities.

I reckon Cena may win the rumble but I reckon this is how it will go. Cena screws Shemus then Shemus screws Cena out of the rumble setting up another match. Orton could go onto better things as champion.

If Orton doesn't like the way Kofi didn't play by the script he's really gonna be messed up with She-mus.

This is either a response to the face reactions that Orton received against Kofi or they want Orton to win the title to prepare for the big PPV.

Orton is in the same place Edge is. He's a heel, and people will boo him most of the time, but the second they do anything perceived as cool or exciting, they immediately get cheered. The Punt gets huge stirrings in the crowd going when he's lining up for it. People forget because of how horrible it ended up being, but Orton's face turn in 2004 started out well. It did because they didn't change him at first. He was still cocky, posing, getting a one up on Hunter around every turn. His first 3-4 weeks as a face was a smashing success. Then they turned him in to smiling, friendly, humble Orton-lite and it bombed. As Orton is constituted now, a quest to punt Legacy (after turning on him) then setting his sights on the title, all while maintaining his current character, would get over HUGE. Hell, it IS over huge, they just haven't pulled the trigger.

It could be that they're testing the waters for a possible Orton face turn, maybe that's the whole reason why they've booked him against Sheamus. I also think the fact that he's been chosen to challenge Sheamus is the reason why he's gotten the upper hand in his feud against Kofi Kingston lately, to look strong going into this match.

It's something new, but I hate it. I think both Sheamus and Orton are dull and the crowd is going to suck hard during this match. I couldn't be more apathetic.
I can see Orton winning the title, Dibiase winning the rumble, and Dibiase thus challenges Orton to a WWE title match at Wrestlemania.

How do heel v heel macthes work? People here seem to like them but i dont recall seeing one A few examples I can think of: Savage (IC Champ) vs. Roberts from SNME. Michaels vs. Martel, Summerslam (forget which year, probably 92) Angle (WWF Champ) vs. HHH (Rumble 01) That's all I can think of right now.
