I thought the Hardcore Title. It gave the lower midcard guys something to do and it gave us some fun matches over the years.
What did everyone else think of the title?

My favourite belt.
And I still think the ECW title should always be decided under Extreeeeeeme Rules.

HUUUUUGE fan of that title. In fact, I witnessed matches such as Al Snow vs Hardcore Holly, the one where they literally fought in the freaking Mississippi River, as well as Al Snow's fight with Big Bossman, where they literally fought on the streets. I wonder how WWF at the time pyed for the ruckus?
The 24/7 thing made the title a whole lot funner, but at 2002, they kinda made a title overrated by having so many title changes. They even did that on the live shows.
And of course, my avatar has the best match of WM X-Seven, with one of the most underated spots ever.

It was cool and all but it became more like a game of cat and mouse with a title with the 24/7 rule. Id did give us a lot of great moments. though.

i'd be all for them bringing it back, was fun to see most of the time, gave mid carders something to do and was good for throw away comedy spots.

That title was a complete joke before Van Dam made it a legit championship by having actual matches rather than backstage clusterf***s. I completely lost interest in the belt once they moved it away from him.

I think Santino would make a great 24/7 champion.

It made for some fun garbage wrestling in the beginning. Then when they created the 24/7 rule, it just became an annoyance, as it got pinballed around and title runs became worthless.

I'm not sure if he ever had it, but I think they missed out on having Val Venis as Hardcore champion, he could have had a shirt that said: "Val Venis. Hardcore. 24/7/365"

Gerry Brisco was a very entertaining hardcore champ minus the evening gown match with Pat Patterson lol

It was fun, at times, though other times it was a pretty dull way to get some garbage brawling in.
I liked the Crash Holly cartoony reign, the Kiddy Land brawl in particular, and Raven's fairly successful attempt to get it back to its roots a bit in 2001.

I think Santino would make a great 24/7 champion. If Santino is Crash Holly, then who'll be Raven (who had a whopping 26 reigns)? Obviously, maybe Finlay? Yeah, I mean, Finlay got through that one Parking Lot match in WCW, so he should be a long reigned Hardcore Champion.

Stats!
229 reigns in less than 4 years.
Raven was hardcore champion 26 times.
Steve Blackman held it for a combined 172 days
Big Bossmans 97 day reign was longest single period.
120 reigns lasted less than 1 day.
Helms and Stamboli are only two I believe to hold both the WCW and WWF hardcore titles, but neither were sole owners of the WCW title.
It was something

I felt they went a little overboard with constant defending of it, but it wasn't a bad idea.

It was fine as a gimmick but I sometimes shake my head in disbelief when your hear a WRESTLING audience yell "boring" when someone has a headlock on for more than five seconds yet popped like crazy when someone bought out a trash-can lid to level someone over the head with it.

Generally, at the time, the IWC hated it massively.
I found it entertaining for the most part, especially in its heyday.

I really liked the HC title. Some of the situations were so cartoon like that it made it a joy to watch. I don't think i would want it back now, but for what it was at the time it was great.

You just know that Hornswoggle would be like the 35-time champion if they were to bring it back.
