I thought about this some, and at first I was going to say Wendy Richter, because I couldn't believe that Sensational Sherry would beat her into the Hall of Fame, but then I thought about it some more, and thought of one man..
.. a former champion who successfully made the transition from "pre Hogan" to "post Hogan", who went from the focus on athleticism to the focus on antics and did both admirably.
.. a man who, despite losing his last match in a squash, did such an admirable job of selling that his opponent would later look back on it fondly.
.. a man who has led a life clear of controversy outside the ring and has not committed any shenanigans to leave a black eye on our sport.
Now, in theory, if I have done a good job focusing on the reasons why this man belongs in the hall of fame, I shouldn't need to drop his name. So wrestlecrappers, who am I thinking of, and am I right or am I wrong?

Mister Bob Backlund? If that's who you're thinking of, they should save it for 2008, since thats an election year.

And dare I say, a very hilarious commentary followed Seriously though. He handled what simply must have been an apocalyptic shock to his industry with a lot of grace, bowing out and finding a place more to his suitability, and then eventually, deciding to do the best he could in the brave new world. And yes I marked out like a beast for his 1h+ run in the Rumble.
