I can see powerful movie studios using this, or even really fancy production majors. But seriously kids, we don't need it, four cores is more than plenty for most of us.

Just a quick note: they're not alone.
AMD's first six-core desktop processor comes out next month.
Of course, there are server processors out there already with the six-core architecture.

Now they just have to wait for every other piece of hardware on a computer to catch up to their specs, as I'm sure everything else on the system will bottleneck what that chip can put out. However, they'll have 12 cores by that point in time.....
