Well, if they try to reverse the charges to me if they screwed up the pricing, I will burn them down where they stand. But I don't think they will. Amazon's very good with their services, and honoring their prices.

Amazon's very good with their services, and honoring their prices. Yeah, I imagine they'll honor it. Large companies tend to just take the loss (if there actually is any) far more than smaller. I've heard of amazon honoring a lot of other stuff, including a video game mixup or two (never got them, though). K-Mart has always been really good with me about it, though. (Although they wouldn't honor a crappy multi-card reader for my dad, but I'm positive it sat so long on clearance that it ran out of the system.)

Well from what I been hearing from other people that amazon is sending e-mail cancelling the orders for some that order of the Onimbus books. I haven't recieve any e-mail yet, but my book that I order is already in the shipping soon stage. So I don't see my order being cancel.

Yeah. I mean seriously they should be honaring those orders and stuff. With my shipping soon, I kinda feel bad for the people that order those onimbus books and not going to get them. I'll keep you guys update on my order situation.

it wasn't just marvel.
For instance I bought one of the EC weird science books as well as one of the walking dead books and they were both 14.99.
Apparently what was going on is that if you took advantage of it quick they honored your order, but if you were just trying to get everything they didn't.

Good thing I didn't have enough in my account to really take advantage on it. Still, I got 3 books I want, so it worked out well. ;D

Let us know if you get it. I'd love to hear this story have a by-a-nose ending.

Welp, the assholes cancelled my order due to "lack of stock". But they were nice enough to invite me to try again when theyre stocked again...for the regular price. Pricks. Cyborg, enjoy your books.

Kinda sad to go back through the thread and see your reactions to the entire ordeal... from optimism towards Amazon, to bitter disappointment. Why am I pointing that out? I have no idea. Besides the part where I find it a sad commentary on the Amazon experience.

I actually feel bad for all the people that won't get their orders and stuff. Even through I'm getting my order, I just feel somewhat bad for everyone else.

Kinda sad to go back through the thread and see your reactions to the entire ordeal... from optimism towards Amazon, to bitter disappointment. Why am I pointing that out? I have no idea. Besides the part where I find it a sad commentary on the Amazon experience. I tend to be very mood-swingy and don't take well to being screwed over, so it's understandable. The funny thing is, I've been happy with stuff I've gotten from Amazon up until now. I've never ordered a lot of stuff from them, but this is a bitter pill to swallow. Usually, when someone screws up the pricing of something, they at least honor the order at the stated price instead of outright cancelling the order under the guise of stock drying up. I think it's a pretty shitty thing to do, especially considering their reaction afterwards. It sucks because this is the second time I've been royally screwed by a corporation over something in the last 6 months (I had a bunch of songs in the Pepsi Rock Band contest last year, and didn't get them redeemed in time because their rules on using the tokens was so convoluted.) Kids...shop locally!
