Truth and Love?
Why were they evils they needed to denounce? As far as I can gather, they hated Truth because, "truth can be decievin'." Perhaps they hated Love because "Do unto others is our Golden Rule"?

They don't like people who go "What's Up?" or shake their ass on the middle rope?

The more you try to find logic in the Pokemon anime, the more your brain will rot.

Truth and Love can be easily used and manipulated to harm people.

They don't like people who go "What's Up?" or shake their ass on the middle rope? Actually I do believe they have a personal grief with Hippies who make you shoot rockets at police helicopters and steal top secret technology from restricted area military bases.

Perhaps they hated Love because "Do unto others is our Golden Rule"? They didn't have any beef with them, they just needed an evil sounding line that rhymes with above. Otherwise their rhyme wouldn't scan right. ;D

I always wondered where is the WWF or PETA equivalent is in Pokemon?
These creatures are abducted from their homes, forced into a tiny little ball and then made to combat each other at their captors' whim.

Perhaps they hated Love because "Do unto others is our Golden Rule"? Do you know how hard it is to rhyme "the stars above" to any word other than "dove" or "glove"? Pulled that one right out of their a-holes, they did. Cut 'em a LITTLE slack, dude. They've got a fully articulate Pokemon that CAN'T fight. They've got problems.

They're bad guys...that's all you need to know in the cartoon world.

Speaking of which, I wish they never changed their motto. Not that I still watch the cartoon nowadays, but I remember catching a glimpse of it a while back ago and noticed that Team Rocket changed their classic motto for the worst.
Not cool.
Oh, and just for the hell of it:
;D

If you go by what Butch and Cassidy said, Jesse and James were saying the motto wrong in the first place.
