and the tears were happy ones. A few months ago is was transferred to another store (Biglots) in a seperate region in the same state (Louisiana). It so happens that my fiance's parents live in this part of the state, and they offered us to move in with them. We (my fiance and me) agreed to move in to try and save some money for a place of our own (we were renting from my dad before). Today we go and look at some trailers and see whats in our budget, we saw alot that we liked and settled on a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom model. We start to fill out the paper work, and things aren't looking good for us. The realtor gets my credit score back and she said she is amazed at how great it was. There was only one small problem, I cosigned on a loan for a friend and they made ONE late payment and it lowered my score (its still good though). She said I don't make enough money for what I have to pay for. I explained that I don't make any of the payments of this other loan, she told me if I get proof from the bank of this that its possible to still get approved, but to not get my hopes up. So, I leave the lot and go home distraught and just sit down and start thinking. About two hours later the phone rings and its the realtor again, she tells me to get the letter to her on Monday and I am approved for $39,999.99. Which is more than enough for me ot be able to get my trailer and land. I am so happy right now. This is the best news that I have gotten in a long time.

Man that's good stuff....I wish I could say the same for myself, I've been going through a bad lay off (for the 5th time in a year), and things are getting depressing....
I think I may have a new job with a Campbells Soup plant though so hopefully something will come of that....

Update:
Things are looking down now. The bank will not give me any proof of me not making any payments on the loan I cosigned on. Working on trying to get copies of paid checks with their names on them made out to the bank. Keeping my fingers crossed, hope this works out.

while i'm very happy for you, one thing continues you boggle me:
you were approved for $39,999.99. its like they looked at your requirements and said "oooh, so close to 40 thousand... lets knock off a penny."
it bugs me, the same thing happens to me every month when i get a check. i get $213.99.

Well, i'm almost sure to NOT get it now. The bank is not understanding me. They keep on telling me that I am responsible for the loan if they stop paying on it. I told them I understand that, and all that I need is something saying that the person(s) I cosigned for have been making the payments and not me. They are outright refusing to give me something on a bank letterhead stating that I am not the one that has made every single payment on the loan, most by check. So they (the bank) know its not me. Any advice on how to maybe possibly get around this. I also tried to get the paid checks printed yet again, and the account is still being blocked via the internet.

Get the person that's paying them to get you copies of the checks? It's their account, so that would be why they aren't giving you access.
