Finally, an effective HGH test

Seriously though, now that there is an effective test test for HGH, how long before the WWE implements this into their testing policies? They've always maintained they can't test because their is no test, but this will end their argument.

If they go the route of "Well we believe the test isn't accurate..", will there be an outrage from some people? Will it become an issue again that congress ends up being involved in?

If Batista or people like him with similar very unnatural physiques for 99.9% of the population deflate.. do they get depushed?

Why does it matter?

It isn't real competition and if the wrestlers do it to themselves, it isnt anyone's place to interfer. It's their own stupid fault if they put their health at risk.

Anyway, with HGH, is there really that much of a risk? Isn't it used all the time by people for legit reasons anyway?

Anywho, on point, WWE SHOULD implement this into their testing but I doubt they will. Lots of guys would fail tests and it would rape their roster for 30 days at a time.

It isn't real competiton. In baseball, you are cheating if you do something like this. In wrestling, you aren't really cheating anyone.

Why should they? They have extremely negative publicity from years of rampant performance enhancing drug abuse in their company and industry which has led to wrestlers dropping dead left and right before the age of 50. Many have accused their CEO of being a major influence in the widespread use of these drugs, as well as a user himself.

If you're a parent who has a young child who starts watching the WWE yet sees stories of guys like Fatu dieing at 35 of a heart attack.. then you hear that the WWE decides to pass up on drug testing. What is the likely hood that you will fully support your child's interest in wrestling probably due to an illogical fear that one day he may end up as a pro-wrestler with the same issues.

That mom gets multiplied by tens of thousands and the WWE loses money usually.

Plus, even if it's not a real competition, it's still a short cut to having a better look. Once again, not exactly the message you're trying to instill in a child.

With the WWE marketing towards kids, it's probably going to be a tough debate for them.

I have to admit that I don't know, but my opinion of steroids or anabolic agents or anything is really, that unless Vince and Co. are actually telling you to take them, while they have to take some corporate accountability, in the end, it is your personal choice.

I support the testing for illegal drugs, but legal performance inhancers and such, being that it isn't competition, who cares? Sorry, I don't.

I hate that people can get away with stuff and just blame companies or the media or other people for thier own choices. Personal accountability is serverly lacking in some people these days.

On saying all this though, WWE always gets blamed, no matter what happens, so while I dont care, they probably should test for it, just so they can say they do so that when people attack them anyway, they can say they try.

And alot of doctors will prescribe things for celebrities that they don't necessarily need.

No you don't quite understand the curve do you? Imagine your kid is in the second grade. you think he should learn basic math so you tell him he can't use a calculator. However you find out the teacher lets all the other kids use a calculator and grades on the curve. Now either your kid is going to fail and be honorable or "cheat" and succeed. Where is the real choice in that?

Honestly, steroid use in wrestling is something I don't have a problem with. But then, I don't have much of a problem with it in legitimate sports either - there are enough trade-offs on it that I figure it all evens out.
